Balancing Shotguns

I agree, determining the bullet damage should be done by the amount of pellets, not by how far the person is away.

However, the range is fairly bullshit in the game anyway. Im not saying shotguns should be able to damage further away than they already do, but it makes no sense that the bullets just disappear after such a small distance. Especially as the bullets are dispersing away from one another anyway.

in real life, shotguns fire WAY farther than in any video game.

the AA12 would be lethal in ways that its not in this game...

The best video I could find, but you can literally OHK snipe people at around the same distance as across the map shots on Highrise with this thing. As a hipfire.

Useless combination after the latest patch though, you might as well be throwing rolled up paper at them.

Honestly I feel like the spas is the worst shotgun of them all. Mw2 almost every class I had had spas with grip on it. Now I think I have less that 30 kills with it. Which is pretty horrible since ive gotten nearly if not more that 500 with the rest. Even have 300 something with the ksg..


That being said the spas is rediculous.. Like horribly bad rediculous. It's bad when you have 2 people running towards you and I can 1 shot kill the farther away person and get 4 hit markers on someone your close enough to stab. I mean it happens from time to time with other shotguns. But when every shot you take with the thing is basically a gamble of how many shots the game wants to make you take. The guns virtually useless.


And this is a moan that should have been made a LOOONNG time ago. Screw akimbo fmg's and type 95's I can deal with being killed by them all day.
But it's when my favorite shotgun from any cod game doesn't work at all?

I'll stick with the usas and aa12 for now. The rest do me too dirty.

I think the AA12 could definitely do with a buff, before you get range or damage it takes all 8 shells to kill a guy, it's pretty ridonkulous. Even just giving it an extra 8 shells wouldn't do too bad for it either, you know, having two spare mags, something every other gun in the game has??

They patched it thank god. That shit was annoying the hell out of me. I'd see a dude up on the rock and BAM get sniped by a shotty.
