Good PM9 class?

I've got bored of using the mainstream guns/got bored a while ago so am trying to use some of the more obscure, unpopular guns. Top of the list is the PM9.

My setup at the moment:
PM9 w/kick & RDS
P99
Semtex & Flash

Recon Pro - Just a fantastic perk - also good if have to abandon the firefight as the ammo capacity & damage is low
Quickdraw Pro - Really useful for tossing equipment quick in gunfights, esp when damage on PM9 is poor
Stalker Pro - good for SMGs and evading

Support: C-UAV - Stealth Bomber - Support Jugg

Normally I'd use range on SMGs, but pretty pointless on the PM9. Don't like focus or stability and don't knife. And other attachments are a bit useless (no silencer, RF burns ammo)
Basically I just rush around a load, and accept that going to lose a few gunfights due to poor-ness of the gun.

But I'm open to any improvements, anyone had any major success stories with it?

redmanc90 I think reflex sights and scopes suck on SMG's. You're better off with extended mags on that gun. I would probs put a suppressor on it just to look bad-ass. IMO, if you're expecting to live long, Scavenger Pro is a must, or at least used Specialst. SMG's don't really need Quickdraw at all tbh. Assassin and Hardline would be my choices for a PM-9 class.

I'd suggest either extended mags/silencer (I've gotten within 5 of a moab with this setup)

or

extended mags/rapid fire

That being said, I've gotten it gold on two prestige's because I'm a masochist and feel like making this game more difficult.

Primary: PM-9 w/Extended Mags + Rapid Fire
Secondary: RPG x2
Lethal: C4/Semtex
Tactical: Concussion Grenades
1st Perk: Scavenger Pro
2nd Perk: Assassin Pro
3rd Perk: Steady Aim Pro
Strike Package: (Specialist) Sleight of Hand, Quickdraw, Dead Silence.

I used this once I got Extended Mags unlocked and it wrecked shit.

the only reason i use the PM-9 is that i can use it w/overkill pro as a secondary pro to kill any bastard that tries to knife me while i'm picking off is teammates from afar with my barret.50 cal. when i used it as a primary,it was just plain shit. tried using this set up and my game with it was improving. but i can't kill the guy running across the map with this gun like the mp7. shit. could have won the game if i had hit the guy

If you insist on using it why no try:

Primary: Any good gun.
Perk2: Overkill
Secondary: PM-9

Sorted. It may be a shit primary, but it'd make a good emergency backup weapon. Maybe try it as a backup to a sniper class ?

I have only used the PM-9 when picking it up off of dead enemies, but it hasnt been as bad as people make out for me.

Maybe i have just been lucky, but close-mid range stuff seems OK, it reminded me of the MP9 a little, which i absolutely bloody love.

How are the iron sights bad?

The pm9 is by no means the worst gun in the game. In fact it is quite a good gun that is overlooked due to the existence of the pp90 which completely outclasses it. If their was no pp90 pm9 usage would rise immensely.

That being said the pm9 cannot be used like you use the mp7 or some assault rifle. It has to be used like the more traditional smg as a close range mauler, similar to that of a shotgun except for the fact that it has better usage at further ranges and can kill multiple enemies with greater ease than a shotgun. Generally you should avoid longer ranged fire fights when playing against good players as they are most likely using the mp7 or some assault rifle and know how to use it. You want to engage the enemy at close ranges and generally you will win due to very very few guns have the ability to outgun the pm9 at close range.

However, if you want to do well and want a gun with a similar style to the pm9 go with the pp90 as it is just better (does slightly worse at close range, but that's its only disadvantage to the pm9 and its advantages more than compensate for this). The only reason you should want to use the pm9 is to make your opponent feel bad about getting wrecked by it, as despite being considered the worst gun, it is very capable of doing some serious damage.
