	Mia PhoenixBlue can we seriously just dump the video thread? There is absolutely NO discussion going on at all. All you see is someone posting a vid with a description of "MOAB HURR DURR RATE COMMENT SUBSCRIBE" and that's it. I understand that the thread is there as a sink of sorts for all CoD related videos to prevent them from clogging up the rest of the forum, but it's come down to the point where the only purpose it serves is plugging one's YouTube channel. People are essentially just using Neo as a medium to advertise and don't contribute shit to the forum. It is called the 'Video DISCUSSION Thread'. My interpretation is that not every post has to be a damn video. Let's go through the current page... Swicked96 - Video, run-on sentence description of essentially 'GIVE IT A LOOK!' KOSDFF - HURR DURR A MOAB VIDEO, one line description CODNinja - Just a plain, stupid video. Not even a description. Clief - Video, half a line description. neji 9889 - Video, two sentence description. ForrestPower - Two videos, a couple of sentences for a description. Now seriously, what bleeping discussion is going on here? I've attempted to try and generate some discussion by asking what makes their channel different from the billions of other CoD videos on YouTube, but seriously, people simply drop their videos in there and leave. They don't give anybody else feedback, nor is there any discussion going on. Neji is the only one I actually recognise from posting elsewhere here... the others? The ONE bit of feedback was from a person with a post count of FOUR. ...and this is on the most recent page, which isn't even full. When I first saw that thread, I thought it would be like what Whelan posted on page 25. A place for the regulars to post stupid shit that happens and discuss or what-not. However, it's just been overrun by wannabe WoodysGamertag and Whiteboy Sesame Street or whatever wankers. You said on the previous page that videos like the ones I have mentioned would be deleted, but hey... Perhaps I wouldn't mind if they actually contributed to the forum's activity, but for the most part, as I mentioned, they are using this place as a medium to advertise. 	I never really liked the thread. I've honestly just been thinking about putting a stop to videos all together that don't promote discussion. Thoughts? I agree that we should dump the video thread, but at the same time I also don't want to see the forum flooded with "watch me play" videos ------------------- I'll be your sweetheart~

	Quite a few of the regular video posters first connected through that thread. I talk to a few of the guys on Skype - it still generates discussion, although you might not see it. Personally, I enjoy the fact that I know when people like SirCorrupt and Clief have posted a new vid. It flags them as a reminder. I have contributed to other parts of the forum... but this game has been out a long time now and there's not much to say that hasn't been said already, barring the updates that we're given from the developers. A lot of the guys I'd class as 'CoD friends' I've met in this thread. It's just a means of connection for people that are into the YouTube scene. If you don't like it, don't look at it. Lots of people will vouch for the fact that I give feedback to videos if I'm asked to. I've never not done. Sometimes that can come through YT, Skype or whatever though. It still stimulates conversation even though you might not see it.

It's not. It's all contained within one thread. A lot of people would freely admit that the thread is useful - as some already have done - so there's no need to get all gestapo on it. You said it yourself though - what 'you' see is selfless advertising, but what others within that thread see is something entirely different. No need to mess with something that has zero impact upon yourself and doesn't cause any trouble.

	I would agree, it does nothing to hampef the community anf the forum. If you close it then you will have people making threads promoting their channel instead, filling up the front page with closed threads. 	Whats the point of threatening peopke with bans when the thread is harming no one. There is no flaming or any thing in there. It quite literally is hurting no one. The problem is that (as I look through the last few pages) I would be deleting EVERY SINGLE video post because absolutely none of them promote discussion within the forum. It's clear to more than just me that the thread is really only used by people who want to promote their own videos (Ie CoDNinja) and not give back at all. So what it looks like is that we can ether start pushing down hard on the thread, which if the same string of posts keep up, end up losing and keeping people away regardless or we can do away with the thread. ------------------- I'll be your sweetheart~
