I think if you don't like watching non-famous youtubers videos, then dont go to a forums video thread. Esp. don't come here just to complain, seems very childish.

	Some of you are sharing experiences, and adding something, or leaving a decent paragraph with your videos, but there are still quite a few who just post videos with not even a word, or just a one liner, and these are the same people who I have seen on other forums doing the same thing, so clearly there just trying to boost views and advertise their channels. This is the video discussion, and for those not complying by the rules, it's annoying. I use to have an older account, with over 300 posts, and a lot of them came in the old video threads from mw2, where people actually contributed to the discussion, and most of us subbed to each other and watched each others videos. I'm all for watching new you-tubers, in fact the only people I'm subbed too are small channels. I just don't see the need to pointlessly advertise your channel by dumping videos. This thread could potentially be great, if everyone watched, commented on and liked each others videos, and discussed them with each other, then you would have a small group of dedicated subs, but no most people are just about getting more subs in the cheapest way they can.

I can see how you might get that impression but we don't really get any benefit from posting in this forum besides interacting with the community. I think that's the main reason we respond the way we do to accusations of advertising. You take the top 4-5 youtubers that post here and combine our views in one day and that number is far greater than the amount of hits this thread gets in a month or more. Its by no means effective advertising. Plus most of us have been posting here for quite some time. But I guess we all see this forum slipping away and there's nothing we can do about it. Just know that we all thought we where contributing to this forum and helping it grow, just to have the mods accuse us of advertising. I personally don't post here often as I don't do much MW3 stuff anymore, and If i do its a montage that takes me like 40 hours to complete. And usually its for another player, in fact usually its for another player I met on this forum. I'm baffled that people would click a MW3 video thread and have the opinion you have, why did you click on it anyways? Whatever the answer its not important and doesn't lend to discussion of the forum topic. I wouldnt worry, I doubt any of us will continue to contribute here anyways.

However, what I would say, is that it's the only thread that does something you haven't seen before. The majority of the videos are different. There's very little left to talk about within this game 6 months into its life cycle; all the debates have been done. There's only the new maps to discuss every month. Nothing really revolutionary. People are still talking about the troubles with Akimbo FMG9s for God's sake!

I've not got low views. I've got 4k subs. I'm not astronomically big, but as with anything in life, not everyone can be. Out of all the commentators you listed, not one of them does the same that I do. Xcal just does live coms. Ronaldinho generally does commentaries related to the CoD scene. Spoon's not got good gameplay. No two commentators are the same. It's just different personalities. If you don't like what I do, I won't lose any sleep over it. You're a drop in the ocean, bro, and I don't expect to appeal to everyone. By the same token though, using the example you have already, Ronaldinho only started YTing like... a year ago. There are people out there do very similar things to what he does - he's just mainly in it for the gameplay rather than the commentary: you're effectively saying he shouldn't have ever started. I'd argue against that cause I do like watching vids as do others. Life's full of similar things that are different: see every band since the dawn of time. I've never used this thread to tell anyone to 'like, comment and subscribe' either. Even the big time YTers were small at one point. 	Sp00n doesn't have 'great gameplay' because he doesn't need it, he's entertaining as a person, just like XboxAhoy and the other's I mentioned, it's the reason why I watch them, unless I made it obvious I don't watch any of you's, I probs watched one of them once like months ago because someone on here told me to watch it and after 10 seconds I just thought, never again. Getting MOABs isn't generic. It's not something you see in every game every night on CoD. That's why people post them. Ron got his subs because he got shouted out by Wings, Woody and quite a few commentators. A shout out by someone with more than 250k subs is going to give you a chunk of that market. Advanced UAV doesn't do anything 'good' - but he got the traffic through shout outs. Youtube has never been a question of 'whoever makes the best content automatically gets all the subs' - it's about networking, knowing the right people and there's a massive element of luck regarding whether or not you get a shout out from someone massive. The vast majority of big YTers appeared from shoutouts. FearCrads had like 1k subs before xJawz saw him. That's all it takes. Sure, quality helps, but I'd argue it's not the driving factor behind whether you get huge or not. And how am I getting mad by saying bro? I say it in all my posts. It's my thing. You're not making much sense to me. I don't mind that you don't like my content. That's cool. You don't have to do anything 'special' to get noticed on YT. I just get the impression that you're one of the guys that likes to watch the bigger commentators - which is fine. Be your own person, bro. Just don't try tell me that because I'm not 'doing anything special' is the reason I don't have 400,000 subs. WoodysGamerTag doesn't do anything special: he's just a grandmaster at promoting. Besides, 4,000 people have clicked subscribe on my name. That's like half of the people for my local football team doing it. I consider that to be a success. Not everyone can be as big as Woody, xCal and the other big boys. Like I say, I have no issue with you. You don't make me angry. You don't make me feel much of anything... other than confused since this has zero impact upon you since you're neither a content make or a watcher by the sounds of it. It's easy to be a critic - but by all means be one, if that's how you want to live your life - but just take it (without me trying to be patronising) from someone that knows how YT works a little better than you do, as a result of playing the game for a while.
