I'm amazed that CoD keeps selling games, putting a 4 hour campaign on a game is down right stupid, not to mention the fact that all the missions blend together. CoD is good for a whole 3 hours until you realize that you paid 60 buck for a game thats "new" yet feels like it came out a year or two ago, maybe thats cuz it is the same game with slightly better graphics. A game doesn't pass as great or even good, unless it first and foremost has an engaging campaign. Multiplayer should always be secondary. Never have I once given a crap about the characters in any of the CoD games, simply because you don't know anything about them, a video game should feel like a movie, where you're the main character, and like movies, if it doesn't make an impact on the player, then it should be labeled as a half ass job. No one goes to see movies where you don't care about what happens to the characters. The current CoD is for teenagers who have ADD, are shitty gamers, have no skill(yet still get kills by using a RPD), and can't follow a good story(also wouldn't know one if it jumped up and bit them in the ass). Great games like, Halo(where multiplayer takes skill), Mass Effect, Gears of War(where multiplayer takes skill), and the Batman Arkham games all put campaign in front of multiplayer, until CoD learns to do that its a shitty game that needs to pull a Kid Cudi and switch it up.

1. Infinity Ward make every other game

CoD has always been big because of it's multiplayer, it's what sells the game, of course they're gunna focus a lot of attention to it.

No, not every game should be like a movie. That would just be silly. Go tell me how a story would fit in GT5.

Thats my point, I'm amazed that people let them get away with a game that only focuses on multiplayer, and they people who play CoD, either suck at all other games, or don't have the wit to follow a good plot. Wow feel like I've already said this.

Why would I want to play CoD for it's story when I could go play Uncharted or Heavy Rain or something for that instead.

What's wrong with online only games? Honestly telling me that Warhawk was a flop? What about WoW?

What's wrong having variety? Why can I not have a game that is big on story, and then another that is big on multiplayer?

When did I say it wasn't the same rehashed game with a few little tweaks here and there? From what I remember rightly, it was Uncharted 2 that won many game/shooter of the year 2009 awards and shooter of the year no?

My point is, why can't a game that relies mainly on it's multiplayer side of things be game of the year? Who said a game can only be game of the year if it has a compelling campaign/story? There are more aspects to a game nowadays rather than just it's single player, online mutliplayer is a massive aspect of modern gaming now, get over it. Not every game has to do the same thing you know, that would make life, very boring.

Whoa there partner, slowdown with the generalizing the entire community. People who play Call of Duty are not idiots as you are implying.
Everyone and their grandmothers know these games are for multiplayer. That is where it shines, stop hating.
You want a shooter with a story and memorable characters, go preorder Mass Effect 3.

Seriously how many of these whiners will come by with the same routine before they learn to go play another game if they don't enjoy this one.

I love you. This should be some kind of motto or something for every person who has posted about hating COD series in general. You know you have good games on it and sometimes you have shitty ones. Not your day? Go play something else then. There has been countless times when I was tired of COD and went to go play something on an older system or went to go do some much needed art work. (I am an illustrator.)
