Use Kabal, and run to the opponent, and press square, square, down and square(at the same time), this will do two hit with his sticks, and then do an uppercut, sending your opponent to the ground.
You should also sometimes use the move which makes the opponent spin, when he runs past them real fast. And then do the same combo above, this will give you a 4-hit combo, and be more effective, it will cause more damage.

Kabal can easily defeat Motaro by using his four hit combo, with uppercut, then repeat jump kick, over and over, watch out for his dissapearing, and laser, I beat him soooooo many times on Master, it's easy.
