	Log in to remove this advertisement I haven't watched any of it since i do know what you're talking about because i've seen it on Brotherhood. They just stand in the open (sometimes on a rooftop, which is worst, sometimes they do still stay in groups) and wait for you to approach them, then they either smoke bomb or mute and stun you, and then do the stun lock thing with their teammates and if someone else comes along their teammate smoke bomb/mutes them and they do a more coordinated stun lock with two people etc etc. And yes it would be possible (although tricky) to get someone with a disguise, you'd have to get close enough but not in the line of sight of any of the team members, use a disguise, then walk naturally like a NPC and get sort of closeish and then rush the last meter or so (if you need to) and get the kill. Obviously what happens after that is you (probably) get stunned by their teammates but then you can respawn. They get 100 points you get 400ish. ------------------- Check out my Youtube Channel!

	In theory that would work, but chances are at least one person on the offense team won't know he can respawn so he just keeps getting stunned until he ragequits. After that things start to go south, fast. Also, if the defense throws down a tripwire, which they almost always do in Manhunt, disguise becomes useless. Countering with gun, however, let you kill up to two targets before having to respawn. If at least two people on the offense team used gun it would force the defense team to stop jerking around and actually play the game properly. -------------------

	In Brotherhood you needed an amazing team to combat this, in Revelations you only need a competent one (although those are few and far between). It's incredibly frustrating to be up against this while on a poor team and as much as I love AC this shows that there is something inherently wrong with the game. The only fix would be a complete overhaul of the Multiplayer system, which is entirely possible for AC3, however knowing Ubi that would only lead to a dozen more issues. This isn't as common as it once was anyway, best you can do is avoid it really. If you want to combat it on your own the Gun is a decent option just to thin out the ranks before you go in. I'd also roof the hell out of them if possible and then Smoke Bomb during the kill animation to cover yourself, then either kill another (risky) or climb a wall so you can't be stunned. If you can try to rescue your teammates when they become human punch bags, if you minimise the damage you might have a slim chance of scraping a win (I'd go for a personal win rather than a team win tbh). Anyway, try to avoid teams who play like this, it's a cheap tactic. -------------------

	Just started playing ACR and am only about level 7 I think online so I haven't played too much. But I haven't really seen this and I am usually in games with high levels. I've seen the smoke bomb a handful of times but haven't really seen mute.

	Mute looks different than Brotherhood. It's a now a giant green meshed globe that disables anyone caught within it from using their abilities. It took me a while to figure out what it was after seeing it several times. -------------------

	Late post This tactic tickles me no end. I have seen countless teams use this and lower levels tend to follow suit once they see how many points you can score. It's cheap, dirty and lacks any form of skill. I've been working through the challenges lately and I've literally not used a smoke bomb whilst doing it, and 8/10 times I actually end up first or second - this was mostly done by using decoys, disguise, bodyguard, morph etc. The people that spam stun ruin it for everyone and taking away the point of the mode. I've actually been in games where teams have grouped together, spam stunned, died and ran straight back to us to try and do it all again. It's ridiculous. They're as equally as bad as smoke bomb/teleporters in Artifact Assault. That s**t pisses me off just as much, although this is easily counter-acted with knives. There is no better feeling than knifing a noob who's about to teleport. Edit: Aug 10, 12 10:35am ------------------- So, how'd you hurt your back? Running away from good taste?

	Pffft, why teleport when you can just disguise walk through the enemies base like a boss. And then run like a little girl when the disguise wears off..... I think they do need to fix them for AC3 yes. Imo mute should be booted completely. There is NO defence against it. At all. It disables your abilities. It disables your stun/kill. You have nothing left. Sure it lasts for a tiny amount of time, but that also makes it worst since you have less time to react (as in, run out of kill/stun range since that's all you can hope to do), when it is activated. The ONLY possible defence is hoping the other person makes a royal bleep up and uses it too early. But that's not even a defence since that's just luck on the other persons actions. Smoke bomb on the other hand, while no saint either, can be defended against. You can pre-emptive it by just about staying out of range, if it's even slightly obvious the other person is going to throw one down. Also, the person activating the smoke bomb does need to time it right, it's happened quite a bit where they have smoke bombed yet i've still got the kill, or vice versa. However, it does need to be tweaked yes. I it should be so that anyone in the initial blast gets stunned, but if you enter the cloud after it goes off then you'll be fine. 	When people use the disguise to steal the Artifact, that confuses me like crazy! I look for the culprit like a headless chicken! I just remembered something worse than the teleporters on Artifact Assault... That little group of people that decide to meet in the middle and see who can stun the other the most. That is just.... Why? WHY? One thing I have been doing with smoke bombers though, is running right at them and then stopping with a small distance between us. They then throw their smoke bomb and assume I got caught up in it and try to run at me. But pretty much as soon as "X" appears above them in the smoke, they're as good as dead. I always wait walk casually when my teammates charge at a target because I just know they're going to smoke bomb for their lives. ------------------- So, how'd you hurt your back? Running away from good taste?

	HunterKiller666 In my experience, if members on one side do it then it's guaranteed that members on the opposing team will join in. Take right now, for example; the 3 others that I'm with are all gathered at the "town square" on Mt. St Michael and I'm the only one at the Artifact. They're not all that bad, they are defending but only when it gets closer to them. I'm the one chasing, knifing and smoke bombing >_> ------------------- So, how'd you hurt your back? 	If they only got one person defending their artifact, the smartest thing you can do is sneak into their base, grab it, and then sneak out. Hell, if at least two of your teammates are keeping the rest of them busy, you can probably even take a stroll back instead of running for your life. -------------------

I agree with absolutely everything in this post. :') Teleport serves no purpose in the game but ruin Artifact Assault Disguise in AA is badass and pro BD Mute is a bit ridiculous alright, it's basically a (slightly weaker) second Smoke Bomb. Should be ditched in AC3, but won't. However a decent defense against it is to run up a nearby wall or failing that just run away a bit. Jesus H. Christ Smoke is OP. should be ditched but obviously won't be. Agree completely with your nerf, I'd also add a MAXIMUM duration of 2 seconds so it can't be used for a free Incognito-Focus-Poison-zomg1billionpoints-Kill. Alas you can bet your ass Ubisoft will either do nothing or somehow make it even more powerful... >.> -------------------

	HunterKiller666 I agree, but I have no idea how many of their team was at the centre with mine. It would have been 1 or 2 because there were still people trying to get pour Artifact! D: As for the Smoke Bomb nerf, I had an idea; don't allow stunning to people affected by the smoke bomb. It's suppose to be a means to escape so it should incapacitate the others temporarily and allows you to gain a bit more distance. ------------------- So, how'd you hurt your back?
