character discussion Yusuf Tazim

What did you guys think of Yusuf? Were to saddened by his untimely demise? Did you like him as a character? Do you think he could have been developed more?

I personally adored Yusuf and he quickly became one of my favourite characters in the Assassin's Creed series (next to Shaun and Altair of course). he was funny, quick witted and bad ass at the best of time and although it was somewhat obvious that he wasn't going to make it at the end of the game, I was still shocked by his death. Kinda wished we'd had more screentime with him, but a memorable character never the less.

He's a very unique character and probably the only AC character other than Ezio that made me sad when he died. I think they can definitely do a spin-off game on the early years of Yusuf. Constantinople is a very vibrant city compare to the classical feel of Rome, and I wouldn't mind returning there for another game with him being the lead character.

I thought Yusuf was a well designed character and looked the part of a lead assassin in a different city. The problem is that he was obviously only introduced as a means to "teach" the player about the new features and techniques in Revelations like the hookblade and the bombs. He had a little part in the storyline but he was just used as cannon fodder in the end which is a shame as they could have really integrated Yusuf into the storyline more.

Although that is to be expected from these annually rushed instalments of the series.

I liked him alot. I was surprised and saddened by his death. I felt he should have lived on and played a bigger role in upcoming DLCs and such.
