Where did you hear this? I haven't heard about gameplay leaning anywhere...

Nobody has said that Desmond will take up the most time as the main playable character in Revelations. No doubt he'll be playable, but Revelation's now has 3 protagonists, so the gameplay will be shared between Ezio, Altair and Desmond. As Dragoon says, this game is meant to conclude Ezio and Altair's stories, so i wouldn't be suprised if there were more or less the same amount of time with Desmond as there was in Brotherhood.

i dont think they'll jump that far in the present i think theyll go to the 19th 20th century but most of it would be played as desmond

Desmond as agent 47, yes please. I'd begin to play this more than any other.

I'm pretty sure that's the plan. What with the Templars having trained their people in how to fight in old school style while Desmond has been training to become an assassin. If anything, Assassin's Creed 3 will probably take place all in modern day with the whole war at the forefront.

With modern day setting, I'm really looking forward to it, tbh. Especially since they've integrated ranged weapons like guns into this already anyway, so they'll know how to handle programming it alongside we're already used to it.

Really, everybody will be happy to play as Desmond once he starts doing all he's been training for. I'll also add that if he gets his hands on some special robes in present or a new look clothing wise while sticking with modern day fashion including hood still, that would be awesome.
