Sep 21, 2007 Battlefield 2142 - By Rising_Phoenix
In conclusion, Battlefield 2142 is a game attempting to reach out to a particular audience. Gamers who want short, Halo-esque frag fests will not find much in 2142 that appeals to their tastes. 2142 does not however fail in this sense, but rather excels at promoting long-term gameplay and working to achieve greater skill through teamwork and personal growth.
Sep 19, 2007 BioShock - By R3sistance (4.0)
This game is a First Person Shooter(FPS) set in an underwater world in the 1960's. The game starts off with a plane crash near a rather strangely placed tower in the middle of the sea. Entering the tower leads to a submerging bell that leads the player into an under water world and having a small movie shown to them by the creator of the said city.
Sep 16, 2007 BioShock - By worldcitizen (1.9)
Once again we are being mislead by the recommended specs by a game manufacturer in order to sell their merchandise. When will there be a body that holds these contemptible people accountable for false advertising to boost sales leaving us stuck with goods that don't do as they say on the box??? We need someone to regulate the game software industry as this is getting out of hand.
Sep 16, 2007 Two Worlds - By shadowj (1.0)
This gets me to the "Untold Legends Inventory style" fair enough it gives a different look to the RPG genre and usually is how most RPG's work. But they have even messed that up. When looking at the inventory it is just a big mess. You have to manually grab each item and drag it to your inventory and if there are 3 lockpicks you can't grab them all in a bundle. You then have to place them on top of your current lockpicks otherwise they will take space up in your inventory.

Excellent game. Well worth the now $20 price tag. I'm 100+ hours into it and I'm still discovering things that I missed the first time through.
Sep 8, 2007 Bioshock - By shadowj (5.0)
A game worthy enough of the 5.0 rating and not a biased one. No Bioshock is a game that derserves every point of the 5.0. I am a guy who loves horror but yawns and gets bored of the recent horror movies...why? Because they are easy to predict and it is all recycled garbage. The same is happening to games and finally a company have given a new direction to the FPS genre.
Sep 1, 2007 BioShock - By Evanescence15 (5.0)
Atmosphere, action, horrors, story, those wonderful hacking puzzles and a certain powerful connection to your character are the qualities that make this game truly shine. For all those people who love computer games, this game belongs in your collection.
Sep 1, 2007 American McGee Presents Bad Day LA - By Anonymous (2.0)
It's cool at first. You think "Hey, I'm gonna help that guy, then that guy, then that guy...ect" Then you are busy doing something and some citizen runs into view and ends up dying because you didn't help him from 45 feet away. Those things count against you and they start to get annoying as hell through the course of the game.
Aug 27, 2007 Starship Troopers - By shadowj (3.5)
To get to the point, this is a game to play if you got anger problems or virtually want to kill something. It is a stress reliever so to speak as all you do is pump 800 rounds into a swarm of over 100 enemies...which doesn't give you much hope for saying you are meant to be fighting these things. You will also meet many familiar enemies from the movie and even some new ones, however I believe the makers made this game a little too hard, not in the sense that you get lost or can't find your objectives but the enemies are very hard.
Aug 23 07, 2007 The Sims 2 - By Flashbang Poe (4.5)
And to keep you occupied even further, there are now aspirations! These are things that your Sims craves for in life. Whether it is fortune, knowledge, romance, family or popularity. And depending on what your aspiration is, determines what job your Sim wants. There are so many improvements, from the first Sims, and it doesn't just stop at the game play. There are also improvements, in the building options. You can now build foundations, change the terrain and much more. With over 2500 building options, your architectural ideas, will come true.
Aug 13, 2007 Commandos 3: Destination Berlin - By TJ D (4.8)
To sum everything up, this game is great and lots of fun. This game is anything but easy, and requires patience, strategy, and time. I recommend this game to anyone who love WWII and are tired of simple WWII shooter games. If your one who gets frustrated easily on games, this game isn't for you.
Aug 9, 2007 The Sims 2 Nightlife - By GameFreakACWW (4.0)
So with the Sims 2: Nightlife expansion pack's many brand new features, sim's lives will be completely changed and revamped then they ever have been before. Sims will ether experience the feeling of vampire teeth sinking into there neck, "WooHoo"ing in a barely private Photo Booth, or driving along the open rode with the wind in there face, anyway they take on life they will always be having fun!
Aug 6, 2007 RuneScape - By The_Sleeping_Dragon (3.0)
Runescape. A massive multi-player on line role playing game. Consisting of over 100 worlds, and 5 kingdoms, the main idea of the game is to train skills in order to perform and complete quests, battle monsters, and of course have fun.
Jul 24, 2007 Adventure Quest - By Nicholas IV (4.8)
Overall, this is a game with some decent graphics and a story that never ends. There's many things to do in it, and you can play it Free and still have quite a bit of fun. It's a good RPG in comparison to console RPG's as well, so if you're looking for something to spend hours and hours on, Play Adventure Quest.
Jul 10, 2007 Delta Force: Xtreme - By mehfuz (3.8)
After two disappointing games Delta Force is back again. Delta force is one of the long running mission based military action games and mainly renown for its multiplayer part but single player missions are also appealing to those people who like to play with computer controlled player.
Jul 9, 2007 The Godfather - By mehfuz (4.2)
The Godfather - I was waiting for this game for almost one year and now when I got this game and started to play I realized that it's not game that can win the heart of a gamer. But don't think that this game is not worth of playing. I am going to write some good aspects of this game and also some areas where the developer could improve.
Jul 8, 2007 DRIV3R - By mehfuz (2.8) After playing this game I realized it's not that bad like what people thinks or making it. So if you are driver fan and don't mind some problems here and there, go for this game. Jul 1, 2007 Uplink - By Mnmfan (4.1)
It's the excitement of the possibility that you might get caught which makes this game great. Before you start hacking you need to bounce your signal around the world so that it's harder for authorities to trace you. While hacking your trace tracker keeps track of how close you are to getting caught. It makes a beeping noise which gets faster the closer you are to getting caught. There's nothing more exciting then leaving it till the last possible moment before disconnecting.
Jun 29, 2007 Descent II - By SonicHero12 (4.3)
If you are a fan of first-person shooter or space flight simulators and never played the Descent series, you owe it to yourself to dive into the bargain bin for a copy. The game is very smooth-running and take up very little disk space.
Jun 29, 2007 The Sims 2: University - by sxc_katee (4.7)
Sims 2 University is one of the only expansion packs I never find myself bored of. There is so much to do all the time, and can be a challenging game. Some glitches can occur in the game, but most of them can be rid of. I highly recommend this to anyone with Sims 2, or is looking to try Sims for the first time. However, if you have already installed a later expansion pack, University cannot be installed.
Jun 29, 2007 Supreme Commander - By Falcodarkzz (4.0)
Supreme commander, one of the most anticipated RTS games this year. It introduces almost a new type of gameplay to the RTS genre, long battles, massive maps, masses of strategy, etc. So with all these good points it must be the best RTS ever, right? No.
Jun 28, 2007 RPG Maker XP - By Road Rocket (4.8)
Once you get past the lack of explanations, your imagination can do the rest. The program can get a tad bit tedious at times, requiring even the most specific of details to be correctly inputted, but with enough determination on your part, you can easily make a fantastic game. The program is for both beginners and experts alike. It's only sixty dollars, which makes this quite a wonderful deal.
Jun 18, 2007 Worms World Party - By Swift Finch (4.9)
Overall, this game is very fun and well-made. Fans of all different types of games will probably like it. You have humor for people seeking comedy, strategy for strategists, and funny cartoon violence for many people. I highly recommend it.
Jun 13, 2007 Spaceforce: Rogue Universe - By sbreslin (1.0)
But even if the game becomes playable, I recommend boycotting the game. Developers need to learn that it's not cool to piss away a game with so much potential. The writer needs to be fired immediately. And the person who hired him needs to be shot immediately.
Jun 12, 2007 Adventure Quest - By kristen1027 (4.5)
As a cool extra to the game you can buy a house. Which can be decorated, guarded, can give extra potions. And since the site is always being updated new houses are on the way. Soon you could own your own castle with fierce guards, in your own kingdom. This game is a great way to sit back and just chill out while kicking some monster butt. I'd recommend this game.
Jun 8, 2007 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - By R3sistance (4.7)
Overall the game is a very good game, and whilst there are some problems in it, they are not on the main part serious at all. Some can be annoying but pretty much all can be sorted out. For the RPGers out there this is a must have game and even for the non-RPGer this is a game that looks good in pretty much any game collection.
Jun 6, 2007 Age of Empires II: The Conquerors - By ForlornHope (3.0)
The Conquerors is the best kind of expansion pack. It adds all these changes which add a gigantic amount of fun to the already astoundingly brilliant Age of Kings, but doesn't intrude too much on the original's killer formula. That said, this is basically the same game with an avalanche of new stuff, new tactics, playstyes and fun. If you didn't like the Age of Kings you won't like The Conquerors either.
Jun 6, 2007 Age of Empires II - By ForlornHope (4.8) The gameplay is godly. AoK spans four eras of history: The Dark Age, the Feudal age, the Castle age and the Imperial age. You start with a few villagers and a town center in the Dark Age. You collect resources: Gold Stone Food and Wood. You build up your tiny settlement. Eventually after training a few warriors and harvesting resources you advance to the feudal age. Here you research technologies to improve every aspect of your civilization. Everything from chainmail armour, to inventing the wheelbarrow coins better solders such as men at arms instead of your starting militia, better walls and loads of other stuff.
Jun 1, 2007 The Sims 2 - By Yayforme (4.8)
Overall, this is a VERY good game .It is best played with Windows XP or Vista. If you liked the first Sims, you should definitely buy this. It is far more realistic than the Sims 1.There is something included in the game called Sims 2 bodyshop, where you can create your own clothes, skin colours ,and other genetics.
May 31, 2007 S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl - By Anonymous1 (3.0)
I feel this is a very entertaining game despite it's buggyness and graphical anomalies. It's short, but during that short time it is definitely fun. Well worth $35. This is one of few games I've actually bothered to finish multiple times, let alone a single time.
If you liked Half-Life2 you will definitely like this game.
May 30, 2007 RuneScape - By oni_hero (4.9)
Runescape is a great game, with constant updates, tons of quests, lots of skills, tons of items, and the free demo it quickly sinks in its hooks and won't let you go. But with many bad apples, scammers, hackers, and the fall of the combat triangle, Runescape is declining, and many players find themselves quiting or being discouraged from playing. But with no downloads necessary, along with no need for giving jagex an email address, name, phone number, or address to sign up and make a character, along with not paying a cent, it is still the best MMORPG out there....Just be prepared to be flamed by World of Warcraft players for playing Runescape.
May 13, 2007 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - By shadowj (4.5)
Overall, the game isn't perfect and that is why it gains a 4.5. When released it came with many bugs and glitches and still after several patches there are still some that remain. I believe also there was a typo when stating how many quests there are. People said 2000 but there are only around 200 at the most. Apr 10, 2007 The Sims 2: Open for Business - By LeoPup19 (2.3)
In my opinion, this game isn't a can't-live-without-it kind of game. If it really interests you that much, buy it, try it out. If you're only a little interested however, don't bother. It won't be able to hold your attention long enough, considering making a successful business is a long, tedious process.
Apr 3, 2007 RPG Maker XP - By Rune Ripper (4.7) As soon as you open it up, there are millions of possibilities available to you, enough resources to keep you happy for a while, a large amount of pre-installed scripts to you don't need to add any unless you choose too and a dead-simple interface that even the common fool could manage!
Feb 27, 2007 Gothic II - By OxShadexO (4.9)
I highly recommend this sequel to those who played the first one. You will be blown away by it.
Feb 14, 2007 Final Fantasy VII - By Krantos (4.7)
The main seller for this game is the complex and very interesting storyline. You find yourself really caring what happens to the characters. One very poignant moment involves one of your party members struggling (vainly) to come to grips with their feelings for the main character. But you also find yourself drawn into the big picture, trying to find out just WHO IS pulling the strings, and who is the real enemy?
Feb 13, 2007 Football Manager 2007 - By shagaholic (5.0)
Apart from the over flow of bugs without the patch, Football Manager 2007 would be highly recommended by any managerial sim player. I can honestly say that there is no game similar to this genre that compare to SI's edition for this year. Also with this game being so popular allows you for more updates made by the players of FM, like database updates which will update transfers, board takeovers etc. You will also find countless amounts of interface graphics available on the Internet like skins, face packs and kits. There is also a wide community for you to discuss this game with other players.
Jan 25, 2007 Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - By sort (Default - 3.0)
Enemy Territory makes for an extremely rewarding online experience. The community is still going strong even to this day. It is highly competitive in number of players with newer and more recent games but it still perserveres with it's addictive, and FREE, gameplay.
Jan 15, 2007 Star Trek: Legacy - By Capt Ger (4.0)
Your universe is limited by futurism space region which you could see from a map grid. This map helps you to see location of your enemies. The ship movement is space is more like up, down, left, right; you cannot turn upside down, and no reverse movement.
Jan 01, 2007 Football Manager 2007 - By Square (5.0)
There are very few aspects that can be considered bad in this game. However, with the increasing difficulty that this year's version brings many feel the "pick up and play" factor has been lost. Pre match media comments can also become repetitive, such as stating whether you believe your team can win etc.
Dec 27, 2006 Company of Heroes - By sinful_666 (4.3)
It's been a long time since I've been tempted to buy a game after borrowing it or playing a demo, and I must say this game has left me hapiply satisfied. Although it can be frustrating sometimes to play 2 or 3 games only to realize 3 hours of my day have been shot, the two or three hours are loaded with fun.
Dec 24, 2006 Runescape - By Explosions Hurt (4.5)
RuneScape is a brilliant game. It's a very large MMORPG created in Java. Because of this, nothing (such as combat, skills, etc.) can be very in-depth, but it's still a blast to do. RuneScape has a very large lists of skills to do, from fighting hand to hand, to using magic, to chopping trees, making bows and arrows, mining and smithing your own armor, fishing and cooking your own food, there's always something new to do. This is one of the great things about RuneScape; if you get bored of one task, do something else!
Nov 23, 2006 Microsoft Flight Simulator X - By Capt Ger (4.7)
In a nutshell you have everything you expect from a civil flight simulator with greater graphics qualities and better sound. The draw back is this game requires very powerful PC to run the higher graphics qualities. I have not seen any major bugs with the MSFS2006 so far. To every flight simulator enthusiastic person, get this Microsoft Flight Simulator X and be part of the virtual living world.
Nov 12, 2006 Counter-Strike: Source - By FlippyX (4.5)
In conclusion, I'd highly reccommend this game. I've been playing CS since the days of 1.6, that's more than 2 years ago. I've never got bored, and have currently worked up about 450 hours total play time on CSS.
Nov 9, 2006 Football Manager 2007 - By gers_fan_no1 (5.0)
Not much bad points to the game really. One thing that gets a bit repetitive is the pre-match media comments before the game asking you if you think you can win etc. These can be useful to get your team fired up for the match ahead but in my opinion they become very repetitive and you end up saying the same things over and over again.
Oct 9, 2006 Star Wars: Galaxies - By Andross2000 (4.6)
With beautiful landscapes, fascinaiting styles of clothes, armor, house furniture, houses, vehicles, weapons, starships, combat, Star Wars classic encounters, and the many more. After years of updates and editing, STAR WARS GALAXIES would probably be said as one of the greatest online games for any gamer or any STAR WARS nerd alive. Through this long description, you may decide to leave your current gaming world and move on to STAR WARS GALAXIES!
Sep 4, 2006 Space Cowboy - By Mishtram (4.0)
Would I recommend this game? To be sure. So many free MMOs these days have much content to them, yet Space Cowboy has managed to push aside a number of barriars to become one of the best games that I have played to date. For Arlington!
Sep 4, 2006 Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations - By Deathman48 (4.0)
I did enjoy it despite its difficulty and overall it's a solid game if you're looking for a challenge, or if you're looking for more grey hairs, but otherwise you can probably give this a miss unless you pick it up with every other C&C game in The First Decade. It's probably the hardest C&C game to date.
Sep 02, 2006 Endless Online - By Mishtram (3.2)
Endless Online won't be breaking any records for being the best game that I'm aware of. Most of the other MMOs on the internet are a good bit more interesting, but for the size of the game to download and the fact that it's entirely free and is planned to stay that way, it's an ok game.
Aug 30, 2006 Ultima VII Part II: Serpent Isle - By BrainRot (5.0)
Absolutely the best game I ever played over the past few decades [including chess]. The first time, I played the game, I attempted to solve it all in one sitting. After 32 hours, of which 30 hours I spent in Knights' Test dungeon until I discovered "Wall" was passable while "wall" wasn't. Preconcieved notions blocked my mental processes considerably. Then abstracts such as ethicality, tolerance, enthusiasm, love, logic and disipline became more and more defined and concrete.
