Ubisoft is currently looking to expand operations in Quebec, and the company expects to add 500 jobs through a $373 investment over the next seven years. Their Quebec studio focuses mostly on mobile and online content, but have contributed to some of Ubi's major titles like Assassin's Creed (such as Revelations) and Raving Rabbids.
Now, in addition to that, Ubisoft is aiming to create 3,500 jobs by 2020, as well as expand in motion capture technology. They hope to recruit professionals with skills in monetization, mathematics, and community management, among others. Ubi co-founder Yves Guillemot notes their desire to improve "proximity with our players".
"The imminent arrival of the next generation of consoles, the expansion of mobile platforms, the multiplication of connected, immersive, and social environments, and the strategic importance of the relationship between developers and players are profoundly transforming the video game industry."
