Epic Games seems to be in the business of releasing more tech demos than games lately, which is odd in that I want to experience the world of the tech demos as much or more than their games. In this latest "Infiltrator" tech demo, shown during this week's GDC event, we see a spy or solider of some sort making his way up to a city in the sky of sorts. Hmm, a lot of those cities in the sky going around right now.
Of course, the whole thing is packed full of dudes in body armor firing automatic weapons, metallic contraptions and robots, and there's always some sort of electrical spark, bullet flare or explosion going on. In other words, exactly what Epic Games loves. There's also an amount of serenity to be found in the city above, with its statues and waterfalls, but that's quickly destroyed by the huge floating robot sentries.
We're unsure if this is Epic Games' full trailer for the "Helmet" tease they released not so long ago. The studio also showed off Fortnight in a fashion at a GDC panel. Perhaps this Infiltrator demo will give us a better idea of what Epic has in store for us next gen -- whether that be a new game, or simply more tech demos.
Quick note, make sure to turn up the resolution for the full experience -- if your bandwidth can take it, at least.
