Great, now I have to go and play Evil Genius again, all because Rebellion Development's CEO and creative director Jason Kingsley is now saying an Evil Genius 2 might be in the works. News on the sequel is said to be provided "... within a few months I hope," which I know means the game probably hasn't even started development yet, but I'd still like to pretend it's on the verge of release. Don't wake my from my beautiful evil dream.

In the mean time, however, Kingsley is prepping for the announcement of another title. He tweeted this morning that he'd just approved an announcement trailer for a yet-to-be-shown game. The only hint that was provided to us by Kingsley was this quote, "Been playing it too and it is OK to be scared." Hmm, scary huh? Rebellion made... Shellshock 2: Blood Trails and Aliens vs. Predator in recent memory, but I don't know how scary those were. Not to mention the Aliens franchise is probably going to bed for a while.

Whatever Rebellion has in store for the future, we're excited to see and hear about it! Especially if it's Evil Genius 2, because I'll be damned if the original wasn't one of the most under appreciated games when it launched.  Bring it on, Jason and Rebellion!
