San Diego Comic-Con doesn't technically begin until tomorrow, July 12, but you wouldn't have guessed just by looking. Already, the convention center and the surrounding Gaslamp Quarter were already crowded with attendees, all arriving "early" for a head start on Preview Night.
For those unfamiliar with the concept, Preview Night is a bit like Day 0 for E3. Access is limited to exhibitors (of course), press and other professionals, and select attendees who were lucky enough to reserve their special passes.
Even so, the hall was already bursting at its seams, and frankly, we're a little terrified. Will we even be able to walk at all once we hit the weekend? Consider us fearful, but let's just enjoy some of the sights and sounds of Preview Night, shall we? Hopefully, this will be only the first of several days in photo highlights from those of us here in San Diego.
Not too sure how we feel about those 2012 Ninja Turtles, but check the photos of the buyable stuff. Manufacturers like PLAY ARTS (of Square Enix) and NECA had their catalog on show, featuring Mass Effect 2 and Valve-themed models. Dig the Borderlands 2 figures and Assassin's Creed blade, too.
