Seriously are Microsoft and Sony trying to give away the upcoming console generation to Nintendo? If all the reports are to be believed then the Wii U is the only next gen console I'll be purchasing.

If you wanna boost game sales how bout we get rid of this $60 price tag? Considering the NFL 2K series used to sell for $20 new I'm sure publishers don't need to price titles as highly as they do to make a profit, and the cheaper something is the more people will buy it so everything evens out.

And I just checked gamestop, buying titles like Rayman Origins, MW3, Arkham City, and MGSHD will only net you savings of 2-5 bucks. So if used games really are the issue then the fact that gamers are trying to save only a handful of dollars should let publishers know that the current asking price is being deemed too high. Instead they choose to ignore it and apparently do some B.S. like this. When the next generation continues with declining sales I'm sure the publishers will blame something like most gamers not having a fast enough connection to download all the titles they'd like or some other crap.

My apologies for the mixup. Casual Gamer is also used for those that play facebook, phone, console, and generally any other platform which caters to games that take next to no skill. There are some games that appear on all that actually do take skill, they just aren't as prevalent.

Lets hope people boycott this garbage. I will not be supporting Sony by purchasing any of their products as long as they entertain this idea.

This rumor has been around for several months. It's not a joke.

No used games? I guess I just buy 1 game a year. I only play about 2 games a year anyways. (buy used though unless new ones are on sale)

Sounds like a good time for me to accept growing up and to stop buying games.

7 years after the first release date and they are making a new one? I don't think the PS3 has reached it's full potential yet. If there is a new release does "not backward compatible" mean it will not play PS3 games? I don't buy this rumor at all.
