I'm a lil' stupid when it comes to PC specs etc.

Someone I know is selling a PC with these specs:

amd phenom x2 black edition 3.1ghz
asrock 890gm pro motherboard
8 gbs corsair xms ram ddr3
western digital 750gb hdd sata 3
seagate hdd 500 gb sata 2
nvdia gtx 460 with artic cooling heatsink
artic cooling cpu cooler
ocz mod extreme pro power supply
coolermaster elite case


Are they good for new games at medium+ graphics ?

Yeah, it's a pretty decent rig and will play most games without a hitch. How much are they asking?

The main things to keep in mind when buying computer parts is that many of them are relatively cheap to replace or upgrade. If you spend a little extra and get a really decent video card, chip and a power supply that has the capacity to run the whole thing smoothly you won't need to replace these parts for years. Motherboards generally only need to do two things:
- Be compatible with all the other parts
- Fit inside your case

RAM and hard drives are very easy to insert or remove as you need it (as well as being really cheap). Just make sure that you get the value on the parts that are important :>

the average lifespan of a PSU is a little over 11 years of continuous usage. 100 000 hours. hard drives are at a million hours. i wouldnt be too worried.

^ yeah that's why I'm interested. For the price its cheap, I've looked at high end Graphics cards and some alone cost £200+

Trafalgar for little over £350 ? For real ? What I've looked the parts are expensive to build with most being in the £80 range

With the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and OS then it's a steal.

And by "a little over", I'm talking like £100-150 :3

Trafalgar I guess I could always upgrade it depending on the motherboard. Told the guy I'll let him know if I'm buying it on the 12th as that's when the new Iphone's revealed


Speaking of which, is anyone getting the Iphone 5 ?
