Yes, you can play it from any computer. However, you would have to download and install the game on the new machine.

The OS and computer don't really matter. Steam is pretty much compatible with anything, I would check to see if the game is compatible though. Sometimes devs only make games for windows, but now a days that is pretty rare. Just find out if your game is mac compatible and you should have no problems. Download steam, install it, download your game and install and enjoy.

Keep in mind that you'll only be able to be logged into your account on one computer at a time. Plus it'll prompt you to confirm by email that you have in fact, changed computers. Although it should only do that once per system, I swear I've had that message something like 6 times >>

I think it checks if you haven't used the system in a while. Maybe over a month or so.

That would make sense for them to do...all I know is that I got the same message asking me to verify every time I swapped computers (I only have two =/) for about a week. It would be all "you're using an unregistered system! We've sent you a verification email" and I was all "I WAS LOGGED ON THIS COMPUTER 2 HOURS AGO, STEAM!".

It's all good now though, hasn't done it for ages after the first little spat [/color]
