I have a few questions about this...

1.Will it respawn after someone has killed it?

2.How would one actually receive their reward if they didn't deliver the killing blow?

3.Will there be more enemies like this one?

1 - Most likely yes. It sounds like it's partly server based. This could mean that the event is triggered whenever Capcom decides it wants to. If you can do it offline as well, then I wouldn't be surprised if it's a 'one and done' deal. But if you're connected then Capcom could do a Monster Hunter type deal where the event is posted in a town somewhere and you have to go and deal with it.

2 - Again, I'm guessing it could be a monster hunter type deal where once the thing is slain Capcom has a list from all who participated. Most likely whoever issued the request/contract/mission to slay the dragon will hold your rewards. Also while on that note, the items you receive will most likely be progressive - meaning the more damage you deal, the better the loot you will receive. This would balance things out evenly, meaning that the players who made a huge dent in the dragon would get close to, if not exactly, the same rewards as the one that slayed it. Again, this is something Capcom does regularly with Monster Hunter Tri so I wouldn't be surprised if rewards are distributed this way.

3 - Only time will tell but I really hope so. This would be an excellent way for a single player game to build up a nice working community. Since it takes multiple efforts to fall the beast, many would have to work together just to slay the bastard.

note: I'm assuming that parts of this game will be similar to the Monster Hunter series since that type of game plays on Capcoms strengths. I could be wrong however, and this could be a completely new direction that is unrelated to Monster Hunter in anyway - it's just one mans opinion on how the game should play out.
