Adamathias, and others who are unaware.

The Blighted Manse can only be entered by following Aelinore's quest line. You meet her when you meet the Duke in the segment. Keep talking to her and she takes off the hat.

After you finish a few quests for the Duke's aid, her handmaiden (In the foyer before the Duke's throne hall) will tell you that Aelinore has asked for you to visit her in the night.

After that quest, and I believe after the cockatrice fight, the handmaiden will appear again at the base of the stairs into the castle telling you to pursue a quest into The Blighted Manse.

Be sure to take 1 or 2 Wakestones with you, just in case.

The wakestone isn't for you. lol

think 5 times is normally with a high level. i cant remember exactly but 5-6 times i end the game.

the manse quest's are great. i was very suprised about it when i was done with my first complete game and saw this quest in the ng+.

I'm trying not to give too much of the quest away because it is a really cool quest.

You probably failed it because you got to the part of the game where she is taken for having high affinity
