The Ur Dragon apparently will re-spawn, however, it is unclear whether it does so within an hour, day, week, etc. Also, it can be fought offline, where it has less stats, but smaller rewards as well.

The dragon will be in the game the same day the game is released, problem is you have no prayer of reaching it for a good long while. Its in a place you can reach early in the game, but you have to beat six bosses before him just to fight him, its something called 'The Gauntlet' which intails six somewhat random bosses (six boss chambers each hase two or three possible bosses that spawn) he is the second to last chamber before err...something I cant talk about without major spoils.

This place however is seperate from the story itself and more like a 'challange' and 'grind' arena.

Enemies respawn in this game, from what I gather that includes bosses. This is to ease getting rare materials for making things. Different enemies take different lengts of time to respawn though. Mooks respawn when you lease a dungen, larger prey like dragons and griffons can take a few days.

The Ur Dragon is a special case though as his HP increases every time he respawns...as does his attack power, defense, and other stats. In time he'll be a real monster, even though he starts with one million four hundred thousand HP *shudders* and you have an eight minute time limite fighting him.

RGZ Archer - I hope he has a limit though. If he gets stronger and with more HP with every battle AND there is a time limit, eventually you will just not be able to beat him in time, even if you're strong enough. And without the time limit you'd just end up getting curbstomped by his eventual stupid level of power and health.

Though I suppose that would prevent anybody becoming so powerful they can crush anything. There will always be at least one boss that'll get them in the end...

They'd quickly be frustrated when they see thousands of other players over damaging them. Also, there's no leaderboards for being a dick. lol

seems legit but there are probably some good reasons to choose the dark affinity anyway. you know... as a balance issue.

There are, just not against HIM.

Its an element wheel thing. If you are ice affenity, you take less damage from ice, fire takes less from fire, etc. The only opposite in the game are Holy and Shadow/Dark. Each element has specific things that make it good, and each enemy has a specific weakness. So the age old RPG standard of carrying a few different weapons of different element alignment is a good idea.

hey question for those who picked it up already or with a guide, Is the Ur dragon a cross platform thing? Is damage I do on my ps3 going to damage the same one that the 360 users do?

So.... before heading off to this jawb this morning I ran around the capital and ended up at the pawn guild where I was asked to venture into a dungeon. I was like 'coolies, whatever'. Didn't get too far before getting LOCKED IN SAID DUNGEON. YAY FOR ONLY ONE SAVE SLOT. But whatever.

Then I recalled the name of the location the Ur Dragon was spotted and AW CRAP. And apparently my pawn had already had this encounter but neglected to tell me until AFTER said doors locked.

Going to get my head bashed in some when I get home I figure. Lol. Fought a tough cookie cave troll along the route that lowered everyone's HP to 1/2, so it's going to be fun. And of course it's only natural to want to save your progress after a fight like that, so yeah.

One save slot.

Woooo...

Don't have the guide on me at the moment, not sure what to expect down there but i'm awfully close to the blue glowy lights.

Yeah, there was a late warning from my pawn.

After the doors closed and I wandered further she said something about not having a life insurance policy being a very bad idea or some spooky medieval equivalency.

But by the time work is over and i'm finally back home i'll pretty much be a racecar at a red light. We'll trade some teeth for sure.

Edit: Well, nevermind. That wasn't Ur at all. Was some other puny fight with an infinite horde of tentacle creatures that can be somewhat farmed for gemstones. Just make sure they don't grab you or they can hurl you off down the spiral pit.
