re: Scramble alerts.

nope, but the su-27 is basically the same thing. i dont know jack about the SU-series in reallife, or if there even is an su-35/37 as seen in ace 04. in any case, the su-27 can perform just about as well as the ace version, the bad thing, limited fuel, and almost no gun ammo. its basically a fighter you use for quick missile attackin', an interceptor if you will.

Qoute from Janes recognition guide.

The SU-35,originally the SU-27M,first flew on 28
June 1988.Planned for Russian service but not produced,
marketed for export. The SU-37 is a technology demonstrator
for vectored-thrust jetpipes,flown in April 1996.

Varients and operators-Not yet in service.

re: Scramble alerts.

naw. the closest thing in the game you get to a stealth aircraft, is the su-27. and the su has a really crappy gun count, like 150. you can waste that in under 10 seconds.
use it for its speed, and missile payload for interception missions, or photo missions.

re: Scramble alerts.

That pretty much goes for the Mirage-2000,TND-ADV,
Mig-29,and a few others, you can really depleate your
ammo pretty quickly.

I wouldn't say not to use these aircraft, just saying
that I'am disapointed in the amount of gun ammo they
can carry

re: Scramble alerts.

Actually, in real life the SU-27 and MIG-29 only get 150 rounds, but their cannons are more powerful than mst U.S planes. But I think the Tornado ADV gets at least 500 rounds of Mauser 27MM gun ammo in real life.

The SU-27 was the first of the flanker series, the SU-35 is the super flanker, and the SU-37 terminator is a varient of the SU-35, and the SU-33 is the naval version of the Su-35.
And these are also different types of flanker varients-
SU-30, SU-33, SU-27, SU-35, SU-37

re: Scramble alerts.

Well at least the MIG-29 and the FLankers get the real amount of guns. Unlike in Acecombat 04, that was kind of stupid. Russian aircraft usually get low gun ammo, because they get 30MM cannons. To bad there aren't that many Russain aircraft in the game like the YAK-141, Su-24, MIG-23, MIG-17, Su-17, MIG-31, MIG-25 and a lot more. It would be cool if they had the YAK-141 so there is another VTOL aircraft in the game.

It would also be cool if when you loudout your aircrat, if they put the kinds of missiles like AIM-7, AA-10, AA-8, AA-11, AIM-9, AIM-120 and stuff instead of SRM or MRM or whatever they put.

It would be cool if you could do the Cobra in the Flanker, but to bad you can't.

Also, in real like the Su-27/ Su-35/ Su-37/ Su-33 don't get limited fuel. They have the normal amount of fuel.
Anyone heard of LO-MAC? It is a great game but didn't come out yet. Can't wait to get it. You should see some of the movies and screens.

Heres a link:

Personally I dont think it was stupid to have the Mig-29
and both the SU-35/37 with larger amounts of gun ammo, that
game is an arcade shooter compared to AECA.I do fully and
completely understand that AECA is realistic and that the
aircraft in this game carry realistic payloads than in AC04

I was just commenting that it was too bad they didn't carry
the gun ammo loads a bit bigger, kind of like the F-2A/B,F-15
and F-4's in the game.

re: Scramble alerts.

First of all, AECA is like a arcade game, but not that much. How there is this thing that twirls on your HUD. You do get better loadouts then Acecombat, but it is still very limited. There is no AS-14, AS-12, AGM-88. There aren't that many kinds of weapons to use, and they all work the same like Acecomabt. For example, the AA-8 and AIM-9 should work different. And you have to choose their air-to-ground loadouts and can't make your own up for every mission. Not to mention, the gun aim is more fake then Acecomabt's, and you can't fire them without switching to it. In real life, you could still fire it but won't have your aim on, so it is not so good to.

To bad theres no LGBs and HARMs in the game. They would be fun to use.

re: Scramble alerts.

For me I like games like AC04 and AECA much better
than I do the more realistic flight sims on the PC.
I prefer the arcade style that the Ace Combat series
offers and the not so realistic settings.

I agree though that in AECA there should've a bigger
variety of weapons to use, plus they should have given
the player some missions to preform. They should've of
never added in the arcade mode and instead put in a
campaign mission mode, and have it set up where you could
return to your base to refuel and rearm,or even allowed
for mid-air refuelings.

As for the AC series,I would like to see maybe some
different characteristics in how weapons perform like
such as you mentioned, and I would like for a much wider
range of weapons your aircraft can carry as well as mixing
your payloads.

But when it comes to weapon loadouts, leave it as is,okay
sure an F-16 or F-15E can not carry 60 to 72 missiles and
such, but I think that it's more fun to be able to do the
things you can in AC than with the more realistic PC flight
games. No this doesn't mean I dont like and wont play real
flight sim type games on the PC,but I like how the flight
games on the console systems are set up.

I do hope if there is to be another AECA sequal,I do hope
they will give you combat missions to perform along with
more scramble alerts than having the arcade mode,at least
in this game series

re: Scramble alerts.

Personally,I really think they should leave the realistic
flight sims for the home computer, too me AECA is more flight
sim than an arcade game and does have real weapons loads.

But that is just how I feel about it,I'am not saying it has
to be that way, though I do think arcade style flight games
are more fun.

re: Scramble alerts.

I agree. There shouldn't be a Arcade mode. I would liek to see a campaign mode where you could fly all the aircraft, do AG mssions, AA, recon, do some of the stuff you learned in training, like flying low in choppers or something. I thought they would, but I guess they didn't. This seems more like the "training", part of the series. If they make a AeroDancing 4, the American version I don't think will be called AECA2. I think it will be a lot different and be more af a combat game then training. Because of thta, I think it will be called something else.

As for Acecombat 5, I hope they take their time. The graphics look worse (If the images are Acecombat 5) then Acecombat 04's, so I hope they make up something for it like more missions. Besides having a good two player mode, what I always wanted was to play two players on the main game. Or at least to have missions like the main game, where there is a point in it, like you attack a enemy HQ or something. And have people talking like in the main game mode. Also, I would like a Free Flight like AECA and for the enemy aircraft to have more detail.

You should try PC flight sims, they are so real and fun. Like how your plane turns and stuff, they work a lot more real. Like LO-MAC, that looks way better then Acecombat and AECA, and more real. Not saying that you should, its just that you will soon start to like them. Like for Acecombat, I forgot about it because I don't want to break it again so I neevr really play it. (I broke twice for me !) Unlike USAF, it is so old but I still like it. Because you could never forget how you learned all the controls. It took me a while to learn how to use my ILS, nightvision, lights, wingman controls and stuff. And I LOVE the UME. I like to make missions a lot. And since theres so many new stuff being added, I still like it because it never gets old. They are a lot harder to learn, but you get the hang of it. Now since I really no how to fly, when I start a mission I always turn on my ECM, if a missile is fired at me I know how to evade it. Its just a lot more to do. I like its training like AECA. Both instructers, have a weird voce. I like AECA's and USAF's training modes.

Well I a few PC flight games that are fun,but I really
prefer AC-04 and AECA sometimes more than the PC ones.
I have a few of the Janes flight games that fun,IAF
is about my favorite of them, but F/A-18 is also fun.
