Deffinately getting better at those warning shots,
but still need to improve,I did a couple tonite so far.
But though I managed a good warning shot and then ordered
to take the bogey down,he end's up hitting my base and it
is all over

I'am going to go back and try them again here in a bit.

cud u tell me how to do warning shots? cuz i fire 10 degrees above the enemy and the airboss says that i failed.
do u have to shoot to the side of the plane? or is there a certain mode that its harder to do them on?

re: Scramble alerts.

no, it has to be within 10 degrees of the aircraft... just aim in front of it, do not hit it tho

and wait til you're within .1 mile of it

"FINALLY!"

I got the F-15E now and have decided to swap it
out with my F-2A for my alert aircraft now.I
figure I'll switch off and on with the F-15J/E,
the F-2/B models and maybe give the F/A-18C a
shot at it as well

re: Scramble alerts.

Ok the warning shot has to be within 10 degrees. those degrees are the numbers on the HUD right? and also when you shoot in front of it, is that in a 10 degree radius of the plane? because ive tried everything and it doesnt work. sorry if im being plain stupid, but i need some more. instruction

re: Scramble alerts.

Okay, now it's my turn to ask advice, what is the best
way to achive a perfect score on the alets where you
intercept the bombers

These are the ones that are quite tough as you need to
intercept, position yourself, take pictures and then fire
warning shots before the sucker bombs your base
Everytime I do this one,I head in on the heading and alt
that the controller gives, but when I see the bomber and
swing in behind,he is already out of range and I even
have my aircraft on full burner.

What are some good tips for these alets with the TU-16
and TU-95

re: Scramble alerts.

keep this in mind: some bombers, i dont know the names of them particular ones, but once you have permission to fire, they will have guns on the backs o' them shoot you down if you get too close. So like, if you're trying to get the pic, and all of a sudden the controller deems it hostile, itll blow you up if you're withing gun range.

What to do...hmm...try this. Get on the same heading and alt' as its on, and also, you should be at top speed, with AB's on. Then, when you are at about 2700 in distance, pull a vertical halfloop. By the time you straighten up, you should have the timing right on the money and will be flying pretty damn close to the bomber, and with burners on the whole time, you shouldnt have too much of a problem maintaining speed. If anything, you might have to slow down. Don't worry about pic angles, just take 3 shots fast, as long as their close. Then back off, wait till it's public enemy no.1, and fire your payload as best you can without missing much. You should get a 100.

re: Scramble alerts.

DOH! I forgot to mention it, but that's the jist of it when using the F-15 series, seeing how as they have the best AB and engine power of all aircraft, other than the elusive UFO. (i bet you anything that its carrying the airboss. no wonder you never see the airboss. i bet hes got a giant sattelite comin' out his arse and is too ashamed to come out in the open about it. )
