Secret islands and hidden areas!

I hope so. I loved all those little Easter Eggs they planted all over the map. I always found all the secret areas on all my saves.

I knew this thread would be useful.

I haven't been able to see them myself yet (because of the stupid Steam glitch), but I've read from... sources, that there's several islands and towns in the sea.

So far I know of:

Stilwater
The Stilwater bank is somewhere south of the middle island. Steelport has an invisible wall around it and above it, so you can't get to all of it, but as the legend goes, a small part of it might be on the accessible side.

The guy who found it was flying an F-69 very high when he saw it. He doesn't know how he glitched through the invisible wall, but the buildings and roads there are solid. The grass is partly solid and partly not, so if you manage to get there, stay off the grass.

Genki island
This is located somewhere on the eastern edge of the map, a little further north than the statue.

I don't know what the "outside" of the island looks like, or even if it is an actual island at all, but it has a jungle and a statue of Genki. Possibly more, as very little is known.

THe Genki Island is. I saw that on Youtube a few days ago and read about it on the official site. The Genki island is part of the Genki Bowl DLC, which I believe will be out this month. I think the Stillwater part is just a glitch taking you back to the parts of the old SR city that the cut scene of the first part of the game begins in.

Thanks for the notification, also - I just got this game for Christmas, so I haven't been around for a while. I like flying around the map so I'll definitely be on the lookout for those secret islands, haha. I had a feeling that there was something out there.

Don't get your hopes too high yet. I just spent like a half an hour trying to get to the Genki island. It's difficult to know if I ever got the marker to the right place, because of the crappy video quality, but the only time when anything odd happened was the first time I tried it. Genki himself appeared on the sidewalk and shot at people with that electric shock gun. I killed him and just like the first time I saw him, he gave me no money. He dropped some cash like the dead pedestrians, but that must have been very few.

And as for the other location, I was flying the F-69 at the maximum height and the game turned the plane around - "the saints need you in Steelport". I jumped out and tried it with the parachute all the way down and the same thing kept happening. Finally I tried swimming and no luck.

Maybe it'll work better in a console?

EDIT: I checked the phone later and it turns out that I now have about 300 to 400 thousand more dollars than before.

hey randome i saw the island but right wen i went for it it said the saints need u in steeleport

Went to try and find stillwater, was pretty high up, higher then the tallest building in the game and i didnt get anything
