During gamescom, Sony announced plans to bring its PlayStation Plus service to the Vita handheld. Well, we can now expect to see the paid membership arrive on handheld in November.

If you already pay for PlayStation Plus on PS3, don't worry. Your membership should automatically transfer over to the Vita, if you also happen to own Sony's touch-happy handheld.

Here's a rundown of what Plus for the Vita entails, which pretty much covers what the Plus on PS3 already has:

• Instant Game Collection: Unlimited access to a regularly refreshed selection of the full versions of games as long as your membership is active.
• Discounts: Take advantage of exclusive discounts on games and DLC for your PS Vita.
• Online Game Storage: An additional 1GB of online storage for game saves for PS Vita games and downloaded content.
• Automatic Updates: PS Vita will automatically start up at a designated time to download and install select game demos and game updates as well as system software updates and start standby mode upon completion.
• Automatic Trophy sync: Trophy information will be synched to PSN servers automatically via the PS Vita.

With this news, Sony was also keen to point out that a number of major franchises will be getting Vita spin-offs, including Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and Black Ops: Declassified. Earlier today, ATLUS announced that Persona 4: Golden would be coming to North America in November.
