I looked at Wipeout yesterday and it seemed pretty interesting. So it is just like futuristic racing?
It's like F-Zero except better. It's a futuristic racing series that's known for having an amazing soundtrack and awesome game modes.
WipEout 2048 looks odd though. It takes place more than a 100 years before all the other games so the tracks look... modern. Kind of kills the style imo, but we'll see.
Bought a Vita today, grabbed Dungeon Hunter Allience and have BlazBlue ordered to be delivered something during the week.
When does Gravity Daze/Rush come out for us because I literally bought the Vita for that game.
Why would you buy a Gameloft game? Prepare for buyers remorse.
I don't get why people are just buying the system for Gravity. I guess no one else a huge WipEout fan like me haha.
I hate Wipeout 3:
SHUT YOUR WHORE MOUTH
If you're judging the series of WipEout HD, then play the PS2 games. WipEout HD is just a rehash of the PSP games vehicles, music, etc in better graphics. different strokes for different folks and all that, but seriously the PS2 games were great.
Is it me or are game endings lately have been underwhelming?
I thought New Vegas had a great ending where every decision you did mattered imo. The first time finishing the game was amazing, I didn't know it would recall a lot of the important stuff I did.
God I hate Bioware sometimes. They're an alright RPG developer but they've fallen so much so quickly... they used to be my favorite dev.
Spoiler:wow
Just look at this shit and how they moderate their forums.
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
I'm not a fan of ME. I would love futuristic settings and space but I don't like Biowares writing and the 'romance' thing. Plus I heard ME2 was basically a straight line where you go from mission to mission, I prefer my RPGs to be free-roam.
I hate how IGN has been hyping the game up for months.. making article after article about it. Got sick of seeing it before I could even play it.
IGN is a horrible website anyways. EA probably fills their pockets with money regularly.
Aurora I feel like I'm being robbed on the memory cards too. I'm awaiting a price drop... but it's just painful. Walmart has a bundle here, for 250 bucks you get the Wifi Vita with an 8gb card (isn't too bad) but I want my 16gb card god damnit.
I can't wait until some companies actually start making third party memory cards for it.
I thought Sony had "locked it down" so that you have to use their cards?
I haven't heard anything about that. I heard they just made the cards smaller and different because it would take longer for third parties to make their own.
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
ssjgoten I'm really wary of reviews of any game published by EA, Square Enix, or Activision basically because I believe most large gaming websites are payed off by publishers.
PCGamingWorld gave DA2 a 10/10, despite the fact that the majority of the PC community were the people hating DA2 and comparing it to its superior predecessor. Smells pretty fishy to me.

PC Gamer gave it a nine or a 10 and they're basically the most legit PC journalists there are. People just have opinions man.
They said it had the best combat system out of any RPG, while the whole controversy was about the new 'press x to win' combat.
I get people have opinions, but the best combat system ever in an RPG? lol
I haven't played it, I just know there was a fuss over PCGamer's review
I played it and thought people overreacted to it. It's a terrible game don't get me wrong, but it isn't that bad. Better than Gothic 4 anyways, I want to forget about that.
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
Wow Starhawk is great. I haven't had that much fun online in a long time. Never thought a console shooter would become a must buy game for me. It helps that it's third person though.
I use it a bit, but I very rarely go online with it.
Edit: FFS. Is the deal U.S. only? PSN Store says that MotorStorm RC Vita costs £4.79.
I was able to download mine fine. I feel a lot safer now that it's installed (:. It might be US only, I'm not sure. Just make a quick US account on PS3 to get it.
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
I hope CFW happens for the Vita sometime. The PSP part of it has already been hacked, if you have a PS3 before firmware 3.55 you can put psp games on your Vita free.
I don't want it for piracy though, but rather customization. But the Vita has pretty good customization options already to be honest.
Half of my PSP library was on PSN, and I forgot the account, email, and password to the PSN I used to purchase those games.
All that money wasted.
How could you forget even account name or email
I was like 13 when I made my first PSN account on my newly purchased PSP in 2007 and I put random stuff for date of birth, a random name (because online wasn't big for the psp anyways and I didn't care) and I completely forgot the email I used for it. I started fresh when I got my PS3.
I actually do remember the email, just not the password. To get the password to that email it sends a recovery email to another email, which I always make up when I make new emails.
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
Well I only have money for one launch game, and it's toss between WipEout and Rayman. I've always loved WipEout, but Rayman seems like the perfect portable game...
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
I got my Vita and I love it. I don't have any games except for Motorstorm RC but that will change today. It's a little bigger than I thought it would be, but it fits nice in my hand.
I do dislike how if I go into my friends it shows everyone online on PS3. It would be cool to have a filter option to just show everyone online on their Vita.
It's alright, good for a free game I suppose. Doesn't compare to WipEout at all, but it's free.
Going to buy MHFU, Super Stardust, and some third game that's cheap. I only have an 8gb card, really regretting not splurging on 16gb and going digital.
Just beat mass effect 3. It had a great set up then awful ending I think.
What as so bad about it?
It depends. Do you want it spoiled for you or not? I'm not a fan of ME but god damn the story and Biowares general laziness just put me off of it so much.

You can spoil it, I have no intention of playing it.
Spoiler:DO NOT OPEN IF YOU WANT TO PLAY MASS EFFECT 3
The Reapers are synthetic lifeforms designed to kill organic lifeforms before the organic lifeforms can create synthetic lifeforms that will kill the organic lifeforms.

Yes it's that *bleep*ing terrible
That's not as bad as I thought. I was expecting something like "It was a dream/simulation" judging by the amount of hate it got haha.
It's just very poorly written. It doesn't help that there's 200 dollars worth of DLC and Bioware itself has been on a steady decline after KOTOR.
I'm not a fan of pointless difficulty so I'll probably give it a rental first. Don't think that much of XIII-2 as a fan of the first.
Dark Souls isn't pointless difficulty. None of the difficulty in the game is cheap, whenever you die you always feel like you're the one that messed up.
Except when you get invaded by other players. *bleep* playing online can be so frustrating sometimes.
I've heard you fall down random holes etc. The game is built on the premise that it's going to be hard and that doesn't appeal to me in the slightest personally, especially when I mainly enjoy RPGs for the writing.
You fall down ledges and holes if you don't throw a prism stone it to test if you'll die or not. Or if you're stupid and don't pay attention to your surroundings.
The writing is... different. You get the lore and background of the world from the description of armor sets, weapons, etc. and it isn't directly fed to you. It's actually pretty interesting, but I feel it's left vague on purpose because the developer isn't known for outstanding writing anyways. The reason why people love Dark Souls is because the difficulty isn't artificial. When you die, you feel like it's your fault, not the games. Plus DaS has the most creative online system this gen, it makes playing the game really dangerous.
I enjoy good writing in RPGs but I also put hours and hours into Diablo 2.
Demons Souls was so treacherous. But everytime I died I maned up and said "you really suck at this". Until I continued to improve.
Haven't played dark souls though. Any improvements over demons souls?
Better weapons, more interesting areas, better designed bosses, more armor and weapons, more balance, it basically improved on it in every way except for atmosphere... which is sort of lacking compared to DeS, but isn't a huge deal.
You missed the game in its prime now. Invasions happen a lot less often, I bought the game the day it came out and the first week was crazy.
Hmm sounds really cool actually I may try it out once I am done with the games I am still working on.
So the multiplayer is like a PVP mmo in a way?
It's exactly like DeS. People put down summon stones, you can summon them while playing singleplayer if you're playing online, and while you're going through areas other people can invade you.
Plus there's different covenants in the game that add another layer of depth. Like a blue phantom and a red phantom can invade your world at the same time, but they usually start fighting each other instead of the host because they never got along
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
I can't wait for E3. I mean I knew the Vita, or any console at launch would be dry but god damn all I'm doing is replaying my PSP backlog and WipEout. I know you're never supposed to buy a Sony console/handheld at launch.
I still love the system though. I honestly thought it would be a pretty shit but I carry it around with me everywhere. Hopefully Sony gives up some good games at E3.
re: General Discussion V: We will miss you dearly Adam Adamowicz.
I thought it went Infamous 2 > Prototype > Infamous.
I'd pay money for an Infamous Vita game where you play as Kessler in a steampunk or cyberpunk future before he went in the past. That would be awesome.
Is this a good deal? Wifi model vita and it comes with unit 13 and a 4 gb memory card for free. All for $250. Should I jump on this offer or wait till e3 and see if they announce any bundles.
