	Log in to remove this sponsored message I've been spending a lot of Time at the Vile Peaks 10AF trying to get these Monsters to appear. Is there any trick or do I have keep running around until they decide to appear? monster

	There are Fragment skills made to change the monsters appearing. Sorry if I can't remember well since I didn't play for a long time, but I think there's one increasing the amount of monsters encountered and one making stronger monsters appear. I don't know if you can call that a trick, but it makes things easier . Fragment skills are gotten when you have the required fragments and you go to Serendipity talk to a NPC (left building when you enter).

	Yes I think it's the Battlemania Skill that helps spawn the tougher monsters. I don't have that one yet, I think you get that when you fully explore all the areas. I do have to say I don't like these FXIII games and the way they continue after the Final Battles. I've completed the Final Battles and find it difficult to contiue to play knowing how the game ends. I like the older games where the Final Battle was the Final Battle and the games ends after it. I'm not sure why Square Enix decided to go this route. I do like that game though.

	This is a trademark of all Final Fantasy games, that there is a lot to do besides the final battle. I guess in many of the others you just can't save after going into the final dungeon and the FFXIII series is more like New Game+. I can't remember any specific problems getting Shaguma and Haguma to appear but I didn't get them during the story. The battlemania fragment skill won't help you because it only increases the spawn rate of monsters in distortions. What you want is the one that increases the encounter rate (encounter master?).

	Yes but what I'm saying is the Final Battle should be the Final Battle. I like the way FFX and FFXII end. Yes there is a lot of stuff you can do to improve your party before going into the Final Battle but once you start the Final Battle you can't go back. You could save right before the Battle in case you want to improve your Party. But back to the original question. I'll have to look into the Fragment I need to get the rare monsters to spawn more.

	Are you absolutely sure about this? I remember specifically in the guide that it's only for distortion-based monsters like Deathgaze, Rafflesia, and Tonberries.

	Battlemania affects all monsters considered rare, like any wyvern or cactuar. Shaguma and Haguma are counted as rare monsters. You get the battlemania skill by collecting 100% on all maps and showing them to the lady in Academia 400 af. 	Also getting the Encounter master fragment skill helps to. It allows you to make more, or less monsters appear. Combine battlemaina with this skill and you'll be swimming with rare monsters.You get the monster hunter skill by collecting all the fragments in yachas massif. ------------------- Light,Darkness,Nothingness. 	Yes 100% in Academia 500 AF will be tough. I think I'm about 95% in Academia 4XX can't find the last 5%.

	Oh i had that exact issue KM. Academia 4XX has all of those shops you'll need to go inside in the big square with the blue time gate. Also there are some little aley's you'll need to go into to get the last bit. There usually by the escalators. Also, Academia 500 AF is easy to complete the map and fragments. I'm more afraid of Academia $XX and it's quiz fragments. Just finding Captian cryptic is hard enough. Anwsering his and the terminal questions is just cheating. And sereditpy's final fragment, the one with sazh, IS to hard for those with no luck like my self. 7777 total in winnings from the SLOTS!!!!
