	Log in to remove this advertisement so far for me it's the blue chocobo and tonberry! i have the fragment skills monster collector and battlemania but it hasnt helped yet! im at about 85 hrs, stats are maxxed out and have fought several blue chocs but cant catch 1!!!! its very frustrating!! i have every other kind of chocobo so its a pain!!! i'm sure everyone has that 1 or 2 monsters that just are being a pain in the but to catch, whats yours?

	The best way I found to capture Tonberry is to just go full out RAV on him (maybe throw a healer in there for safety.) When you take him down, his bar should be at 999.99%. That's how I finally got one. As for the most difficult creatures to capture? For me it would have to be the Greater Behemoth (Cursed 3% capture rate) and the Proto-Behemoth, since once you take him out, you must reset the gate or rely on summons, they're the only two I'm missing from my Behemoth mob. 	The most obvious pain to catch is rare monsters that only spawns once with every single visit to the location (Academia 500AF). And yes, the lower the tame rate, the harder it will be to get. I have a very bad luck with purple chocobo. Imagine i only manage to capture it in post-story phase. FYI, chain gauge percentage has no relation with tame rate odds. Only the crystal fragment skill (30%) and feral link as finisher moves (20%) will bolster the odds by 50%. 	Thanks! Didn't think I'd ever get him. Yeah those Dragoons are pretty annoying to tame, also.

I find it easier to just save before the platform where the two "spirits"/Tezcatlipoca appear(s), than fight, and close the gate if I don't catch them/it. But I spent hours on this and I can't catch them, it's just a pain...

	I had to fight Lightning and Amodar about two dozen times to get Lightning's crystal. It was frustrating, to say the least.

	Oh yes, Lightning, I swear her drop rate was extremely lower than Amodar's, there's no way they could possibly be the same! I literally just caught her last night after almost giving up. She's definitely worth the work, though, what a nasty awesome RAV!

	Well I finally caught the blue chocobo after turning off the rare monster frag skill 4 some reason the blue choc wouldn't spawn and after trying for about a month I finally caught it!! The funny thing is I caught 2 purple chocs easily n most the others. As far as lightning n armadour I caught her the 3rd time I fought them but still haven't gotten him! She is a badass rav! Is he good? So it seems it really is just random from what I keep reading! Some people get lucky n some have to fight over n over! I've been both lucky n unlucky!

	Congrats on the Blue Chocobo, Jaxx! Amodar's is really good also. Of course I'm going to be biased and say I like Lightning a lot more, and Omega and Proto-Behe are really good COMs, so putting that into perspective I don't use Amodar at all. Although I will say his Iron Bear Claw(/Fist?) is a pretty sick "Limit Break".

	hey.. ill share my experience with you guys.... i have been choco hunting ever since i step into arch steppes.. i am currently on start of esp 4 when my stats of all roles have been maxed and played about 75hrs and yet still finding a better chocobo... yes it is hard to catch them as they have 10% rate of catching.. the sick part is u are unable to get a 100% meet the mob.. currently i on 3 blue 3 red 2 purp but im releasing them for a better basic hp and attack stats

(after full crystarium upgrade) It is the choice of monster materials that makes the BIG difference. You shouldn't have released them...it's hard to get them especially Purple Chocobo... ------------------- When a person tells you they're not crazy, trust me they are...

Don suffers from Perpetual Poison though. Tonberry is really handy as infusion fodder as he has Str +35% and Mag +35%. Don offers Quick Stagger! Tonberry is in Breasha Ruins 300AF while Don is in Bresha Ruins 100AF. -------------------
