Good luck but chances are u will always find one with a higher stat than a previous one u caught. I would pick one and stick with it. At the end of the day, u can always give it infusions or hunt for about 60-80 lv5 power mats and make ur RED super powerful(that is if u have the time and patients to do so). The stats on the GREEN won't matter much bc eventually u won't use him as much once u get to a certain level. Same for the PURPLE-stats won't matter in the end, mainly passives and infusions(abilities learned),because he won't be on the field very long. That is what I have found. U r free to do as u wish but I won't worry too much about starting stats bc when ur characters get to lv.99 they can pretty much defeat any enemy with a two member paradigm.

High ATK is important in RED but high Hp is not a necessity. If u need a Hp boost just infuse either Hp+25% or Hp+30% but the end Hp should be sufficient. With purple, Hp is definitely not important, what is, is the passives and the abilities u infuse in him. Silver is a awesome choice for Sentinel w/ the right infusions, nothing else comes close( check a previous post for my infusions). If u want to accentuate ATK power mats is imperative and to accentuate MAGIC in BLUE, mana mats are imperative.

SAZH: HEADS OR TAILS? DLC-GETTING SAZH's CRYSTAL



After the opening prologue u r awarded with 10,000 casino coins after speaking with the owner w/ the option to get more if u run out(I don't know how many times u have this option though bc I didn't need it) and casino coins from in-game SERENDIPITY game play from either chocobo races or from gill exchange carry over into this DLC. The aim of the DLC is to accumulate enough FORTUNE MEDALS(FM)(which can only be won at the tables and not at the slots) so as to undo the paradox and be able to move on.

This new DLC presents us with two new Casino games namely SERENDIPITY POKER which is just regular poker with a few modifications with one aesthetic difference, the images and designs on the playing cards are different. The second game which is unique is CHRONOBIND- which is basically a clock with 13 numbers and u r trying to charge the clock as much as possible by passing the number thirteen either clockwise or anti-clockwise or by landing on the number 13 every time u move the hand and then stopping on a multiplier(BIND POINTS) which gives u the option to CLOCKOUT. The higher the multiplier the more coins u win.

The rules are similar to poker in that the KING trumps everything except when played against an ACE or against the current face number that is on the clock(for example if someone spins the hand and lands on a 2, and on the next turn someone plays a KING and u play the number 2, u win and u spin the hand).

Second thing to know is that each card value corresponds to a number on the clock face( for example the number 3 face card =the number 3 on the clock). Take note that the JACK=11, QUEEN=12 and KING=13.

The game starts with a random card being played that determines the starting point of the clock hand.

At the beginning of every turn or at end of every charge charge 1 coin is put into the POT or standard rate times the number of cards played by the person moving the clock hand.

Also every turn u r trying to play the highest card in ur hand so as to have the opportunity to be able to spin the clock and land on a multiplier. Of course not ever turn u r going to have a high card, so u can either play a card corresponding to the number on the clock or play a card that would impede the other players from landing on the multiplier.

In the event of a tie(multiple players play cards of same face value) no one spins the clock but the clock gets charged times the number of tied cards played( for example if 2 players both played a face card of 5, clock gets charged twice bc number of tied cards =2 and not 5).

And another unique thing to note is that if on ur turn if u have multiple cards of same value(3 number 5's )u can play them all at once. This increases the value of coins added to the POT(if u play 2 number 8 cards and u win the showdown) every player has to put coins into the pot times 2 of the standard rate(standard rate X 2=coins placed in POT)

The game sometimes gives hints as to what card to play by putting a 'glow' on the card,but it usually is an obvious move.(In my experience the hint only helps when no one is letting u land on a multiplier), but the choice is urs whether to follow the hints or not.


HINT: Aim for the 2x(DOUBLE BIND) or 3x(TRIPLE BIND) multiplier. In certain cases the 1x(SINGLE BIND) multiplier would be ur best bet but the 4x(FULL BIND) multiplier is the hardest and most difficult to land on. Try to win using ACES and it is best to play until someone goes BUST at the table at which time the game automatically ends instead of leaving the table at the end of every single round. And use the 10,000 coin wager, it is faster and the returns are better.


TIP:I found that CHRONOBIND to be the quickest way to win FM, not to mention it is alot of fun once u get the hang of it.


IF u play and win each table game for the first time u get 1 FORTUNE MEDAL(FM) EACH.

HERE is my playthrough sequence.

After viewing both tutorials and winning 4 the 1st time got 2FM. Also after winning 3 rounds of CHRONOBIND(which I call round 0.1 as I was now getting the hang of it)
won 1FM =achieving a high level victory
won 2FM= to commemorate a victory w/ an ACE.
SO at the end of round 0.1= have total of 5 FM(including 2 from winning game 4 1st time player)


P.S. Every round below was played until someone went BUST and all wagers were the 10,000 coins limit.


ROUND 1
After 10 victories
won 1FM=winning streak
won 3FM=to commemorate a victory w/ an ACE
won 1FM=blessing from the goddess
Total FM=5 Grand total FM=10


ROUND2
AFTER 6 victories
won 1FM=winning streak
won 1FM=to commemorate a victory w/ an ACE
won 1FM=blessing from the goddess
Total FM=3 Grand total FM=13
Note: I got my only 4x multiplier ever during this round


ROUND3
After 9 victories
won 5FM=recognition of my victory(victory round bonus earned me 20000 extra coins at end of game bc I won entire match).

won 1FM=winning streak
won 2FM=to commemorate each high level victory
won 5FM=to commemorate a victory w/ an ACE
won 1Fm=blessing of the goddess
Total FM=14 Grand total FM=27


ROUND4(won enough FM before match was over to resolve paradox after 11 rounds/wins)

HINT: when u have won enough FM SAZH exudes a glare/sort of sparkle from his teeth on the picture of him on bottom right of scree(only seen once-once u start another round glare/sparkle goes away never to return)
After 15 victories
won 5FM=recognition of my victory(victory round bonus earned for 2nd straight time of 20,000 coins for winning entire match)

won 3FM=winning streak
won 2FM=to commemorate each high level victory
won 3FM=to commemorate a victory w/ an ACE
won 1FM=victory using multiple cards
won 1FM=blessing of the goddess

Now after winning about [spoiler=30-35 coins][/spoiler](unsure as to how much bc I didn't stop playing until table went BUST, talk to owner and pick option corresponding to seeing DAJH.
After ending cutscenes u will obtain the SAZH crystal. I will not reveal what his specialization is but if u played FF13 when he teamed up with LIGHTNING in VILE PEAKS u might remember what role was suggested for him to play after unlocking the CRYSTARIUM.

So there it is how to solve this DLC'S paradox and obtain the SAZH KATZROY crystal.

Woah... DLC... i wondering if i should go onto DLC... Im currently gotten a good purp chocobo... now working on my red chocobo... haha sick of farming when i left 1 role to max all roles

If I am correct you can get them whenever you want. Not to sure though but I know I received the lightning and Amodor one pretty early.

OK thanks for the info. I knew about the Light/Amodor DLC but since I already completed the game before purchasing the SAZH DLC I had no way of knowing how early in the game u can play it once u buy it. It was easy and didn't take me long to figure out but it was fun.
