Going hard on FF13-2 update

I spent this past weekend playing this game, only sleeping once and the game is AWESOME. The music that goes along with the various battles just pulls you in and makes you don't want to put down the controller.
After 50 hours of playing I obtained the 4 available chocobos and upgraded them to lv99. I infused the blue chocobo with thundaga from a lv 20 circuitron( this skill can be gotten at lv 15) and role resonance from a lv.30 frag leech and am also planning to infuse firaga from a lv.12 bomb and maybe pack mentality when i get the respective monster. This chocobo is a beast with just these 2 infusions and think of how much more of a contender he will be with pack mentality. I infused green chocobo with feral speed 2 from lv.1 Gancanagh and esuna and esunada from lv. 34 flanitor. I am still looking for the appropriate monsters to infuse into my red and purple chocobos. I have also unlocked 18 of the 22 expansions, which includes all 4 accessory slots, all ATB guages and their individual unique skill with Sarah Com at lv-77, Rav-lv95, Sen-lv50, Sab-lv99,Syn-lv19 and Med-lv84 and Noel Com-lv-95, Rav-lv99,Sen-lv40,Sab-lv37,Syn-lv83 and Med-lv71.
I also defeated the "Royal Ripness" in Sunleth Waterscape(300AF)with a 5 star rating and received a paradox ending with kupo, gained 10000 cp and 1 fragment. I collected a total of 42 fragments in all(would have more but can't find the stupid "outdoor watch" that is supposed to be in Yaschas Massif(110AF), which would let me complete at least 2 more locations). I also have a lv.20 Pulse Knight sentinel.I did all this and am still in Episode 3.I am challenging myself to defeat the long Gui in Archylte Steeppe
(???AF) with my current level. Do u guys think I can do it?

WHAT a white chocobo I think u mean silver.
I just felled that Long Gui and he was a push over. He doesn't use ultima at the beginning like ff13 so u can debuff him with sarah while ur purple chocobo does his thing with party buffs until he finally does ultima. He has awesome drops but I won't spoil the surprise.

I am still new at this posting threads thing so I may make silly blunders like post a new thread for the same topic, but u live and learn right. Hey it's me again, here with another update. As stated previously I am STILL IN EPISODE 3. I have farmed all rare mats. required for future weapons upgrade and in the process maxed out all roles of both characters and unlocked the relevant trophy. I also did a lot of infusions to my purple chocobe- giving him all en/type spells from an upgraded MEWMAO,the Faithga spell from a lv18 TESTUDO, the Shell/Shellga and Protect/Protecga Spells from a lv70 TRIFFID along with his passive ITEM COLLECTOR. I also infused my blue chocobo with Firaga spell and will be using either the CHICHU or NANOCHU to infuse the PACK MENTALITY passive into him so giving all chocbos a 30% increase in both attack and magic.

TIP: the guide suggest that after killing the bosses on the plain that u need to leave the Historia Crux in order 4 them to re-spawn. THAT IS NOT TRUE.
All u need to do is have a system- suppose you are farming Yomi, Immortal and Long Gui. Kill Yomi 1st, change weather, then kill either long gui or immortal, change weather again then kill remaining beast.
Then change whether again and this time kill either Long gui or Immortal 1st, change weather again and kill one of two remaining monsters that u did not kill. Change weather again and then kill Yomi.
Now after killing each beast twice they won't re-spawn, so all u need to do is change to rainy kill Ochu and start the process over again. U do all this without ever leaving the Steppe once and this will enable faster farming 4 those elusive rear drops needed to upgrade your ultimate weapons.

I will be finally moving onto Serendipity soon. There is no challenge left 4 me to overcome in this episode and I am getting bored to be honest.

What level are each of your roles, NJthug_05?

Also, what are Noel's and Serah's stats currently? When you check the stats, can you equip the weapon they both start with, and remove any accessories? This will eschew obfuscation.

Hey guys, to answer RAIN's question both characters at lv.99 in all roles. I tried to build them evenly but focusing on building Sarah as a strength character. Final stats with initial weapons are
SARAH: HP-7033,Atk-520,Magic-632. NOEL: HP-9006,Atk-685,Magic-531.

To address AlKOR;s comment, I always challenge myself to see how much many bosses I can beat especially when someone tells me it can't be done, or that I am too weak to attempt present moment. I initially started leveling since New Bodem to unlock my 4th ATB segment. And from then on in trying to acquire monster crystals early on ended up leveling up even further. In doing this early on I can focus on story line instead of on hunting mats or levels bc I keep dying at a particular boss. AND I JUST LOVE FARMING.

In FF13 I killed all the marks except one before I got to Eden and that was only because I needed Lightning's quick stagger weapon from Eden and had mastered all available roles up to that point. I did this by farming "battle enhancers" at beginning of game until I got 99 of each and then again in Vile Peaks all without item improving drop accessories which allowed me to farm ADAMTORTOISE as soon as I entered the steppe and sell their drops to forge and upgrade my weapons. I love a challenge and LOVE RPG's.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention I also acquired FENCER the 5% crystal monster my 1st time killing him even though he is worthless to me. And to put the naysayers like ALKOR to bed I am going to fight the rest of the game with just initial equipment, no accessories to see how far I get. That is the new challenge I give myself.
