Summary: The monster infusion system in FFXIII-2 allows every tamed monster to possess a maximum of ten passive abilities. When this limit is reached, new passive abilities infused will either overwrite existing ones or be discarded. This process is decided by a hidden hierarchy for passive abilities within the game. Abilities ranked high will be prioritized at the expense of lower-ranked abilities.
Note: Only monsters who can transfer these abilities are listed, i.e., monsters who learn these abilities but have red locks next to them are not included here.
Interestingly, many monsters simultaneously possess multiple top-tier passive abilities. Below is a list of these monsters of special note. Not only do they make good infusion sources, most of them are actually among the best monsters you can find for their roles. Also listed are non-inheritable abilities at the end.
Format: Monster: Inheritable passive abilities (level at which the ability is learned); Non-inheritable passive abilities (level at which the ability is learned).
Tonberry (COM): Ally KO: Power Surge (1), Magic: +35% (22), Strength: +35% (24), Ally KO: Power Surge II (30)
Ultravegeta I appreciate all this, well not me personally I have a guide too but for everyone else. But dude Why don't you put together a guide or FAQ? I'd do it but I'm no good with such things
We think alike then lol. Idk just throwing it out there especially since your putting it in the forums.
Also to add to the forum itself, If you infuse the same Ability into the same monster twice then it will lock, and wont disappear when you reach the limit. Infusing the skill a third time unlocks it.
Does anyone know what are the best monsters who learn: Protectga, Shellga, Vigliaga & Veilga? Thinking of trying to infuse those into my Purple Chocobo.
