Kupo.//:I enjoyed VIII because Squall is awesome.FFI,VII are also favorites.I haven't played any others.I like the games like Crisis Core,Type-0 and both Dissidia games.My Favorite FF title would Type-0 if we count it as a main series title.

But how the game began with his brother and then switched to him. How he was always in the center, seemed like they was trying to show the story of the war but also focus on Vaans life problems. Like wanting to be a skypirate. I can see Ashe being the main focus but Vaan was pretty darn close.

The Pursuit I don't see how he was pretty darn close to being a main focus of the game in your words. Yeah it started with his brother dying and wanting to become a sky pirate but the game didn't revolve around the mystery of his brothers death or his pursuit to become a pirate really. So if those weren't main points of the story I don't know how he was important what-so-ever.

I'm sorry if I seem completely inacurate it has been a long time since I played this. But Vaan was closer to being the main then anyone else (excluding Ashe ofcourse) because of how the story focused around him and Ashe. Everytime Ashe saw her former husband he could see him too. Vaan was trying to help restore the government for his family and country of Dalmasca (it is Dalmasca correct?)

Penelo was there because of Vaan practically.

Mine is probably either Auron or Zidane I guess. I really liked all the characters from 6,7,8,9,10,12, and 13 but I can't really decide.

Though not everyone likes VIII that much, I really enjoyed a good deal of the cast. Squall was interesting because his personality evolved over the course of the game. Irvine was entertaining. Rinoa could be interesting when she wasn't messing around with Squall incessantly. Seifer made a good rival and I liked his story arc.

I also really liked the cast from IX (which - go figure - is also an FF that some people don't like). They could all be comical, sweet and serious within the same game, and I like seeing those different dimensions in a character.

Actually, hold on - I know who my favorite character is - Vivi! His story arc is so touching and yet not melodramatic. I think his exploration and discovery of the concept of death has been the only plotline to ever legitimately move me in an FF game. He's so innocent and sweet, and yet he has perhaps the darkest and saddest life out of the entire cast.

Yeah Vivi did have an amazing story, probably one of the best out of any cast ever.

I don;t personally understand how people could dislike VIII or IX. They were both amazing games and are tied right behind FFX for my second game of all time.
