New screenshots (Updated 15th Dec)

We know you're hungry to see more of FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, so today we're releasing a new batch of screenshots. These screens show off the improved Crystarium system. Here you can see the growth route of your characters and, using points gained in battle, improve your stats and gain new abilities.

You may also notice a screenshot taken from a battle, in which a Flanbanero is decked out in sunglasses. This is just one of the many monster adornments which you can find and equip your monsters with. They don't improve your monsters' stats or abilities, but they can make them look a lot cooler in battle.

So, a few new screenshots have been released. The new look Crystarium looks interesting to say the least. We can also see that the monsters that you can "recruit" have their own crystariums so it will be interesting to see what unique abilities each one can learn and how they may be useful in battles. It also looks different when the crystarium expands now with giving you a choice on what you can do. Plus looking at them it looks like there's a lot more levels for each role with Ravager being level 13.

As for the sunglasses, it looks like we're gonna be able to customise the monsters you can "recruit" which is not really appealing to me personally. I couldn't care less if you can put some sunglasses or other items on them, lol. But some people might like that.

Putting all that time and effort creating purely aesthetic, additional clothing for characters. Waste of time.

Seems like Square really can't help themselves in making a dress-up Barbie game when they make these direct sequel games.

Visually though, it looks rather stunning.
Just imagine if the gameplay was actually there.

Can you imagine if they had a game like one of the old, good Final Fantasy games with these graphics?!

Hmm interesting. I wonder if the Health has a limit with it showing 6 numbers when you'd get about 25k in XIII

I think it us pretty neat Too be able to customize your monsters to fit you. I don't really see how it's very lame but I guess that's just me.

Some more new screenshots released today. Looking good. Can't wait for this game, personally.

I would like to see a difference between the 360 Version and the PS3 version if there is any this time around. Even though they openly admitted that I should be nearly the same.
