try copying the patch to the thps2 folder in programfiles/activision and applying it there.
If that doesn't work, right-click on the thps2.exe file and properties. change the compatability mode to windows 98/me.

I have the same problem, every time I try to patch the exe-file the little programm says "patch failes", but the exe-file I have fully access on the file. Can anyone send me the patched exe?

inspite of using the patch and also trying the win xp compatibility option i couldnt play the game.it goes on exiting to the desktop.finally to those who want a perfect solution to this problem: UNINSTALL THE DAMN THING. now things are peaceful ;-)

For this patch to work the game must be installed in the default directory of C:\activision\Tony Hawk Pro Skater2. The patch finishes sucessful finally but now I just get a black screen then back to desktop. Can't figure it out. Im gonna give it about 5 more minutes then deltree it. Nothing is worth much frustration especially an old game like this even though is pretty fun
