	Log in to remove this sponsored message Currently I drive a 2004 Toyota Corolla LE. Since before I got it, I've always liked the ninth generation Corollas, and I hope to acquire a 2005 Corolla XRS in the future. The reason I chose the 2005 model is because it contains the original 2ZZ-GE engine (1.8L 1796 cc) with VVTL-i also found in the Toyota Celica and Lotus Elise (though slightly tuned down), which gets 173 hp stock. The 2006 model gets about 10 hp less, and after that the engine was phased out (pretty disappointing; it has great potential). Anyway, with a supercharger or turbocharger, the 2ZZ-GE can easily go beyond 200 whp, but I'm not really interested in engines with forced induction. However, the problem is the 2ZZ-GE as far as I know has yet to reach 200 hp naturally aspirated. Some have come fairly close using stroker kits that increased its displacement up to 2.0L and the compression ratio, but not quite hit the 200 mark. Anybody here own a 2ZZ-GE engine? Edit: Apr 25, 10

	V8's are for rednecks and muscle cars. Turbo that bish or buy a different car with a v8 in it. -------------------

	I know what will do it. 1. Stickers( a bunch yo) 2. Wing 3. Paint it yellow 4. cut springs Should add 100-150HP. Have fun. -------------------

	pretty sure corrolas have the 1zzfe, the 2zz is reserved for corrola sportivo, jap spec MR-S ( i think), the celica SS, and the lotus elise / exige 190 to 240, the 2zz is a very tech filled motor so making more power is tricky, you basicly have to make it into a race motor, but you should see around 250hp if the older 1.6 4age is anything to go by, -------------------

	Well, so much for getting at least a somewhat intelligent opinion. It's apparent you guys don't know very much about car engines if all you can tell me is "get a V8" and assume that it's so easy to sharply increase an engine's power without supercharging it or turbo charging it. Unless perhaps, I'm missing something and you guys in your infinite wisdom just know. For example, can you tell me why the 2.4L 2AZ-FE engine in the 2009 Corolla XRS gets 158hp and a 1.8L 2ZZ-GE gets 173hp? Edit: Apr 27, 10
