	Log in to remove this sponsored message First, my apologies if this topic is already posted. But can someone explain the logic behind the games 2 disc play swapping? Is it just me or is this going to be a major pain in the ass? I just started the game and already in the first 2 missions I had to swap out the discs to continue. I have both installed to the hard drive but so far it doesn't seem to matter. Am I going to have to get used to it? I remember Mass Effect2 had the same thing but only after you got two thirds of the way through. I don't mind having to swap but why so soon? Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to re-install?

	I personally play on the PC but I think that data of certain areas are only on one disc and not the other causing this juggling. But then again I'm not sure at which points you are juggling discs. 	Most of the disk-swapping occurs in Act 1. After Act 1, there isn't any disk swapping until the second last mission in the game. If you follow this, you'll only need to swap disks twice during the entire game: Spoiler:May Spoil Late Game Missions To minimize disk swapping, do not attempt missions other than the following: Prologue Mars Citadel Menae (Palaven's moon) Sur'Kesh After this point, you'll have to start the Tuchanka missions. Initiate one of the Tuchanka missions and you will be asked to inset disk 2. From here on, you can start the N7 missions, side missions ect that have built up to this point without the need for disk swapping. Be warned, finishing the Tuchanka section will end Act 1, and all incomplete side missions will end. The next disk swap occurs in Act 3, at the "Assault Cerberus HQ" mission. -------------------

	It's generally accepted that each act starts when all outstanding side-quests are wiped from your journal. 	The reason behind it is because there simply isn't enough space on one disc for all the data in the game. ------------------- PS Vita General Forum

	I found myself switching A LOT between the disks early on, then not so much later. I thought it would be a huge inconvenience, but it seemed like mostly side missions were on Disk Two, so I tried to work on those first before doing something "main" in order to cut down on the switching back and forth. ------------------- New art? 	Once you reached Illium in ME2, you were on disc 2 until the finale. This one, in the early going it was like if I wanted to do a side mission, I had to switch discs, and then when I went for a main mission, I had to switch back. Got REALLY annoying after a while. Nothing like being kicked back and relaxed and having to get up and walk across the damn room to switch effin discs. ------------------- Profile retired as of 7/28/2012.

	What I don't understand is that a game like Skyrim which is huge in game play is on one disc. No disc changing and the roaming is endless. It sure seems a lot larger than ME3 but ME3 has disc changes that you must go through. I did figure out that you must do all side missions before closing out the first Tuchanka priority mission. What a pain in the ass and I won't even go into the game freezes that I have encountered.

	I didn't mind the disc swapping. In the whole scheme of things I barely notice the switch. There was only one time it bugged the crap out of me. It was at the very end when I had done all the side missions and was trying to wrap up the main story. I was really getting in to it when it tells me to go back to Disc 1. WTF. But other than that it was no problem.

What a pain in the ass and I won't even go into the game freezes that I have encountered. i cant quite understand it either, except they must have figured out how to compress everything a lot better with Skyrim. on PC Skyrim is installed and uncompressed and ive heard its around 12-15 gigs.

	Isn't it closer to 6 GB? Skyrim is smaller because it's running on a new engine that is more optimized and awesome at compression. ME3 runs on Unreal Engine 3, which came out in 2006 and its most recent big update was like 2 years ago. ------------------- train by day Joe Rogan podcast by night, all day
