A philosophical question about the ending

I keep reading about people arguing weather the ending was good or disappointing and don't see any thread at all about what it meant, philosophically that is. I went online immediately after I finished the game, with still a little tremble in my hands and came upon guys explaining all the flaws and holes of what, to me, was a wonderful and bittersweet ending. So let me start by stating with some facts about what seemed obvious to me in my first playthrough and then I'll just pose a philosophical question regarding what I think is the essence of it.

I always loved sci-fi endings that are open to different interpretations and to me that is one hell of a good quality to have , so I find it wonderful that the indoctrination theory makes sense to a lot of people.
To me the ending did happen , the mass relays were destroyed (which I find bitter but amazing as an ending ) without destroying their solar systems, Joker was actually running away for that Beam of light (not the explosion) ending up in an unknown planet and Life for the first time,(intelligent life that is) managed to survive the cycle. Of course the destruction of the relays meant that the different solar system were now detached from one another. But Life survived and even though thousand of years will pass for them to meet again, their knowledge and memories survived! and that is exactly why the stargazer ,after the credits, tells the little boy that the galaxy is a huge place with thousand of different system with different stories to tell and maybe one day we will reach out and meet them.

The essence of the ending lies for me in the dialog between the Catalyst and Shepard. Up to that point the game has argued about the value of artificial life and what means to be alive. Then comes the explanation of what the Reapers are. The Catalyst tells Shepard that "they" created the Reaper as a fail safe device for the chaos that keeps coming as a result of the evolution of life. So every 50,000 years, the Reapers come and keep that from happening acting like their "Solution" to the problem of life. "The created will always rise against their creator" the Catalyst tells Shepard. The Created , that is Organic life in general, will rise against their Creators, meaning Them, the creators of the Reapers.
If we accept that the catalyst is part of an advance god-like synthetic life form then that may mean that Synthetic life actually came before organic life, in fact creating it . But organic life , searching for god and then wanting to become God is destined to create synthetic life thus giving rise to Chaos. It's a classic God creates Man , then Man Creates God, scenario. Because when Man , through technology becomes God then god is destined to die because there is no more need for him.

We always took for granted that organic life preceded synthetic life but what if that was not the case ?

Wtf man, you are completely out of context here. Even though I enjoy your cynicism I wasn't looking to open another debate about the quality of the ending. Did you just paste this from another thread of yours ?

There's the first part of your post that says

I Agree the ending did happen and that's they way I prefer it, I didn't think much about joker running away from the light but that's a better explanation then most, it's great that nothing's been forgotten since yeah we heard the stargazer speach but I was hoping a 1000 years from now kinda thing where they started construction the mass relays and you opened that up a bit in the end from the speach of stargazer and child.

The cycle of organic creating synthetic is then sythetic rebelling, leading to organic creating super synthetic to destroy organic is odd and confusing, but I hope to learn more on this in me series. ( I couldn't speak of everything on your post yet, but I'll be back to edit)

But the Guardian is an AI, right? Soooooo - it is still synthetics killing organics. "Ascend" or "Merge" my ass - they kill them. The Collectors were no longer Protheans, even if they shared DNA. That human reaper was no longer human, no matter how much human DNA it had.

Oh, I know, but they were not what they were before. They were simply mindless tools of the Reapers/Guardian. What kind of 'life' is that? Servitude. Slavery, pretty much. What's the point of keeping alive for THAT? The Guardian's logic is f**ked. XD

But didn't the Guardian say that organic life was a mistake? Something like a glorious mistake or something? If that is the case, how did the synthetic gods come about? And then they would not be the creators of AI, AI would have already existed. You see what I mean about it being so circular that it is almost impossible to answer. It's the chicken and the egg.

Right?? It's so infuriating. Because once I feel like I have a grasp on it, it's like "Oh and then, there is THIS..." and I realize I am back to square one.

There was an advanced culture who made an AI. The AI(s) rose up and destroyed them (?), so what was left of that culture made ANOTHER AI to control other organic/synthetic beings to kill organics, so other organics would not suffer the same mistakes they had made? By taking all the organics and assimilating them like BORG, then leaving the underdeveloped races to make the same 'mistakes' all over again in 50,000 years.

REALLY?!?!?! It just feels so.... crazy.

Also, the fact that you brought peace between the Geth and the Quarians should have proved that this cycle was already bucking the trends of the cycles before them. And then there is EDI. I mean an unshackled AI that was not rampantly conquering worlds, but instead becoming more and more human.

Both things prove that the Guardian and the race he represents might not be as infallible and all knowing as they think.

You are right, I just feel like the initial logic is flawed.
