Why aren't there any girls in multiplayer?

Or perhaps... why don't any of them use their headset?

I'm a girl. I use my headset. And so far, I've played with a whole bunch of guys.

So I ask you, people of Neo, why aren't there any girls in multiplayer?

Men are definitely dominating the gamesmarket. Women are catching up though, but it's still pretty genre specific. Sci-fi typically isn't one of them. Neither are shooters. Combine 'em together and you've got a real good sausagefest.

Most girls I know who play games online rarely talk in pub games. Because apparently 90% of the time, they just get harassed by prepubescent boys.

So maybe you've actually played with plenty of other girls who just aren't talking.

It's a damn shame really. I played WKC with a lot of girls and it was pretty koo.

I'm a girl, and I play online.

But I'm on PSN, which a lot of people here are not.

I even use my headset at times, but I don't talk a whole lot.

Granted most my time gets dumped into Fighting Games. :3

Women = Story, drama and all of that gay crap. (Dont hate I like it too) Most female gamers only play the singleplayer (EX Skyrim), due to the multiplayer not really having a story.

Men = Kill, Kill and oh yea KILL!!!!! Men thrive on the action, plain and simple.

This is a broad speculation from my years of gaming.

Of coarse there is always a difference to the Stereotypes.

Aw cmon even if this was a bit overboard, who didn't laugh to it?

Even out of thousands of gamers I don't expect to see more then 2 girls with mics talking on me3 multiplayer in my playtime and so far I've reached the number 0. (easily played over double my singleplayer in hours)
Most the time when there's another guy with a mic and he hears you're a girl (or prepubescent boy, I mean cmon if you hear someone like justin bieber talk on me3 you're going to think he's a chick) he's going to troll you.
I think a lot of girls who don't want to deal this either leave mic off or don't even have one. saw trolling girls a lot in mag, I mean of all games mag?
Personally I don't have a problem with finding other guys playing in me3
now in every game I take the voice volume option down though, to avoid having to hear 1: trollers 2: people who take to long to respond while talking and space words a bit too far apart (aka potheads) When high they sound like bleeping idiots.
