Personally, i think both Bethesda and M$ are equally to blame.

What i dont agree with is Beth releasing Hearthfire when PS3 dont even have Dawnguard yet, and there isn't really anyway to justify that. You could say that just because this DLC won't work on one console, doesn't mean the other console should suffer. However the fact that Dawnguard wasn't released on PC the day that deal was over tells me they only like 360. They probably see PS3 as a burden to work, which alot of developers do, but the more work that goes into something, then better the end product.

The fact that the Gamebryo Engine that they're using has been around for about 6 years, yet they dont know everything about it is appalling. Anyone who has used that engine for 6 years would take a 5 minutes look at the DLC and say "This is whats wrong, and this is how you fix it"

Before any 360 fanboys bash me, i'll flip it.

On the other hand though, i'd rather the 360 keep getting DLC. Dont get me wrong at all, i'd rather them get DLC at the exact same time, or as soon as the deal runs out. But given the circumstances, i'd rather Beth keep pumping out DLC for the 360 for several reasons.

1) Bethesda already has maybe 30% of their Skyrim fans pissed at them for this whole debacle, as well as a few select few PC users who are still pissed that it took a few more days for us o get it.

2) Once the PS3's coding problem is sorted, all currently released DLC that is out for the 360 already, should come out at once for PS3, or one after the other. That would be some serious content all at once.



Then theres this whole argument about '360 getting the DLC and finiding glitches first, then it#ll be alot better when it comes out on PS3'. Thats bullshit, for starters, for every glitch they fix, another 5 pop up. We'd rather have to go through the game finding glitches. For some its half the fun of playing Beth games.

Ok look, M$ are a business, i know that, but they were the ones that went to Beth and said "Here, have this money, we'll have your DLC a month early"

M$ do this purely to get people to buy a 360 instead of a PS3, it has nothing to do with looking after their customers. They will never learn either. They paid $50m for exclusive GTA4 DLC. 6 months later it was out on PS3. They didn't learn and they never will. If they want people to choose a 360 over PS3, then they need exlcusive games, not DLC.

Bethesda is one of the only high-profile developers I know of that still struggle to develop on the PS3. There have been more than a few open world games on the PS3 that run perfectly fine, which goes to show that whatever method Bethesda is using is starting to show its age.

Not to mention I really think their constant wanking to MS's constant bribery is starting to hurt them. If they had just decided to make the DLC for all platforms right away, PS3 users wouldn't be in this boat. Yes, Dawnguard for PS3 would still have been delayed from the other platforms, but it would not have been by three months like it is now.

I'm glad to see that they turned to Sony to try to fix the problem; I half expected them to just pussy out and drop the PS3 DLC.

But if I can say only one thing to Bethesda, it's to get a bloody better playtesting crew. Just because your games are huge, doesn't mean it's acceptable to release products riddled with bugs. This is 2012 now. We can't hang off the coat tails of Oblivion's legacy anymore.

I ditched the whole "Dawngaurd on PS3" idea 2 months ago when it SHOULD have released.I have now picked out some decent computer parts and am in the process of saving money to build a gaming PC.At least on that platform I get mod support and console commands.

As its been said before, Bethesda turned to Sony for help, so at least they are trying. What would you rather do, wait 3+ months for a DLC or have the company say *bleep* it and not release any DLC for your console?

PS3 isnt my platform anymore I have already made the switch to PC im just saving to buy the parts.And honestly I think they will say "*bleep* it" in the end.And if it wasnt for M$'s greediness and bribery Bethesda would have payed more attention to PS3 DLC I am also in no way excusing Sony either since they have to make the PS3 so damn different than everything else I dont know why they couldnt have just based it on windows like M$ did (although M$ owns windows I dont think they would have made a big hassle over PS3 being based on a x86 version of windows like Xbox was).

I think Bethesda has more than enough money to program Skyrim right for the PS3 and re-release it.

I think the point is more than Bethesda is still struggling on the PS3 where other developers are not. The PS3's architectue being a mystery just isn't a viable excuse anymore. Even though their engine for Skyrim is new, it is still outpaced by a lot of other open world engines.
