Your opinion on this armor (for fanfic) **July 26th UPDATE**

I'm designing a new armor for my Dovahchick character in my Skyrim fanfic, and I wanted the opinion of you guys:

Here's the backstory on this:

My Dovahchick and her spouse crafted this armor, Dovahchick prefers to wear very light armor on her torso and doesn't matter how heavy her helmet, boots and gauntlets are, this is so she can move her center of gravity fast (since she's dual-wielding swords) while hitting pretty hard (I know this has doesn't happen in the game but it's for the sake of my fanfic).

The premise is, that while the Dovahchick is a master smith and while she's able to smith Dragon and Daedric armor, she didn't have enough time to do so (I know in-game armor is made instantly, but again, fanfic's sake), and she only had access to a large amount of steel and leather, some corundum and moonstone, a bit of dwarven metal and quicksilver, and a lesser bit of ebony.

This is actually more what I'm looking more input, the combination of materials, I know that ebony doesn't mix with anything, I was actually planning on making the helmet of ebony, but then the little wolf face would have to be black as well, also, I consider moonstone to be a flexible material that's why her chest piece is made from that mostly, as well as junctions and bolts.

These are only rough sketches, nothing definitive, the colors also aren't the real ones just so you could tell apart from each other, and though I'm sure there's no reason for something like dye paint existing in Skyrim, I would like to stick to the in-game colors so they can be shown as different materials form each other.

Like I said, my main problem is about the materials, don't know if I should combine them all like that, personally, as a designer, I'm not getting a good vibe on the combination, and I have half a mind to limit the whole armor to steel plate and moonstone in favor of design and practicality.

So, I would really like to hear suggestions from those who wanna help me out especially form my buds psiberzerker, the_FAMAS_pro and KillerSp-ace

The first thing I have to say, is that Dovahchick looks hot is those pics (Now in Technicolor!!!)!!!

Second is that the armor is pretty good looking, if I don't say so myself...which I do...because I just said it...

Second-and-a-half, is that I wish you could combine the stuff in-game as well.

Third: ...are her boobs supposed to look like butts...? ...and does she have...yes...it looks like it...Not one, but...two! Yes! Two, belly buttons! Uh...

Fourth: I haven't even started writing out that story expansion (call it a DLC) that I thought up yet, , but I will get around to it.

Overall:

Very good work. I would love to see this in-comic, in color (if possible [or at least some parts]), and fully drawn.

Hmm, Resilience, silver-alloys don't sound half bad, silver is one of my favorite metals I would be grateful if you could elaborate more on the idea

But well, now that you mention it, they do look like butts, think I'll correct that for the final version...

And the belly-buttons you totally lost me, her navel is not even supposed to be visible

Perhaps it's just me, but why is every user-created armor set sans decent leg protection? The realist in me dies a little bit every time I look at Nexus for new mods and everything is CBBE and UNP skimpy armor variants.

Other than the little rant, it looks nice. Reminds me of Orcish stuff.

I think you may be on to something, Resilience, although, what kind of metalwork do you mean on the silver issue, weapons? 'cause I couldn't find japanese weapons that used silver in them, no, they used a very special preparation of steel.

That's why I like of your comment, the steel topic, I've been reading a lot about this material, and found out that in real life, you can get a ton of different effects by combining different amounts of other materials, the Japanese sword smiths were probably some of the best at this in the history of mankind.

This gives me an idea, actually, one that goes against using combinations of different metals for an armor set, you see, since my character is a Nord, hence human, I think that she would best know how to smith steel better than any other race, because even if she's a master smith, she could never know how to smith Orichalcum as good as an Orc master smith, because they're more familiar with this metal, by the same reason, she wouldn't either know the best way to smith moonstone nor dwarven metal because she is no elf.

On the other hand, steel is like one of humanity's greatest discoveries, so, again, being a human, my character would feel a lot more familiar with this metal rather than with anything else.

So, yeah, following Resilience's advice, I think I'm gonna stick with steel, in different types of course, I liked the idea of combining quicksilver and steel even before I started this thread, but only to make better swords, heheh, well, I'm off to update this armor! The design won't change so much, only the materials it's made from!
