Mage Clothing

Im like a level 27 Breton looking for armor/clothing that will give me magic boosts. Anyone know of a set of clothing/armor that ideally supports a Mage?

I already have the Archmage's robes and the mask, but I'm still dying fairly quickly, so I'm wondering if there's better.

Considered getting the Atronach stone? it gives you a hefty amount of spell absorbtion.

Theres also disenchanting robes that boost magicka regen and buff a magic skill at the same time to enchant that onto armor.

Master Robes, if you have a particular school. Vokun, and Nahkriin give all kinds of good bonuses, and if you hit all the general merchants, you should be able to find some decent jewelry. Unfortunately, there aren't much in the mage freidly boots, and no gloves that I am aware of. You may have to DiY. Did you grab the Archmages Boots? They're just marked "Boots" but have pretty hefty Shock resistance, which I always found nice. Invest in Enchantment.
