dawnguard When is Dawnguard coming to PC/PS3? - Page 3

I've played Dawnguard on my friends 360. Needless to say I'm hugely dissapointed, I expected more tbh. I won't give quest details...but that's mainly what your paying for. 1 new quest. Smithing updates suck besides creating your own arrows, crossbow isn't all that special and the dragon weapons look like they've been designed by someone who couldn't be arsed! Steam workshop users do a better job.

Sorry for the rant but I was livid when I played it.

They never said that there would be loads of content. And on both sides it lasts about 20 hours+ at least. I'd say that it is quality over quantity, you've got Vampire Lords and upgraded werewolves opening up totally new tactics and ways to fight. The amount of quests is no way near a testimony to how good a game is.
On topic though I use a 360 and it's not right how microsoft get the rights first. they're hardly going to get a profit by paying for it a month early, I doubt many PS3/PC users would say
'OMG!!! NO DAWNGUARD!!!! I MUST LIKE BUY A 360 NOW!!!!'

sooooo first post and all, awesome, i was googling this exact issue and i found this thread, which i couldn't stop reading, and holy cow!!! i own a ps3, ive been thinking about buying a 360 for years lmao, i don't know why i haven't yet honestly. let me say on behalf of all decent ps3 users, thank goodness for mature 360 owners!!! i know my whole post will be a bit off topic, but that doesn't seem so out of place at this point in the thread, and also at this stage in the game (look, a gaming pun) i guess im now going to be ON topic. so cool. ps3 is awesome, i dig it, for the most part, but it isn't perfect. i know from tons of hearsay that the xbox isn't either. i figure most people that complain about timed release dlc probably didn't even buy the game on its release date, so a big demographic of ps3 users in my opinion started late of their OWN accord in the first place. but oh yeah, they'll bitch about some timed releases. dont worry 360 users, ps3 users aren't bad, those people just make us look bad, they would complain about anything. it's cool with me that you guys get it a month early. i did read some stuff saying it was going to be more like 75 days, but it was based on rumor. that would be a little long in my opinion, but geeze, it's nothing to rage about. i play cod, i had to wait an extra month. so what. everyone on psn that you played with was tickled to death to be playing it, a month later be damned! video games are freakin awesome, and you shouldn't really be dragging all of your pseudo, anti, reverse, pretzel, wormhole logic about lobbyist style tactics to personally screw you into getting another console. if you knew the backgrounds of half of the products you adore every day, you would feel like a huge hypocrite right now, instead you just look ignorant. wait patiently. dead island is 20 bucks at walmart now. get a job, or if you have one, put in some more hours. hunt or appreciate your significant other. don't be ragin' on forums bro. negativity should only be tangled with creativity, not arbitrarily thrown around, i hope you've calmed down by now, your kind of grudge-holding could be a sign of a mental health issue, hopefully you are as passionate about checking that out as you are about bashing microsoft. not really coming to micro's defense here, i don't really care one way or another about them. im bursting with excitement to play this dlc, though, hopefully someone can revive this thread with some concrete answers, and some bad ass hyperlinks. hopefully i didn't kill the thread....

just wanna add, what is a 360 in the box now? 300 bucks? what is that like five games? if it really is a huge deal, you might be able to prevent a heart attack, or damaging a personal relationship with MISPLACED ANGER for the price of a handful of new games. cheap price to pay to avoid losing a girlfriend. if none of this makes the ill-tempered ps3 user feel any better, just look at it like this.....they get to beta test our dlc, we owe them a thanks.

Well personally i reckon it'll be about £14/$25

I'm in two minds. On one hand its Bethesda so it'll be really well made. Whereas on the other hand theres alot of people saying there isn't much content.

Microsoft pay to have the content exclusive to Xbox 360 for 30 days this means Bethesda cannot put the content on Playstation 3 or PC within that 30 day window. This is a common agreement Microsoft make between certain publisher/developers and it makes those that accept a fair bit of money. By entering into the agreement they don't just relinquish their rights to publish the game for 30 days but they also get the support of Microsoft's advertising department which is beneficial to Bethesda.

30 days after the 360 shitty version so that makes it the 26th july, which is a thursday. Its pretty much Sony law that the american store gets everything before the Eu one. The US Store updates on a tuesday, the EU one on a wednesday or thursday. So that likely means that the PS3 version wont be out till the week after, in august.

are you kidding me?!?!?!? those comments about the Shitbox and Microsoft were COMPLETELY neccesary. the only reason that Shitbox gets EVERYTHING early is because they buy out any company that gets in their way so they look epic. if you ask me, microsoft is bedrock of the gaming wolrd. lets just say, you cant get much worse than the Shitbox
