Fear not, for I am watchful. You have been Chosen.
He-Who-Shines, Herald of Azura
Class: Priest of Azura
Major Skills: Archery, Light Armor, Enchanting, Speech, Conjuration
Equipment: Arch of Dawn and Dusk (Enchanted Glass Bow with Fire and Frost), Bastion of Twilight (Glass chest enchanted with Fortify Health and Resist Magic), full Glass armor, Seal of Moonshadow (Enchanted Ring of Fortify Speech), Eye of Azura (Necklace of Fortify Archery), Azura's Star
The best shot in all of Skyrim, he was. Boasted about in the taverns and castles alike! Solitude bards sung ballads of his legendary aim. But it was not always so. Caught stealing fish from the Riften docks where he worked, he ran. He received a vision at twilight, showing him a great statue deep in the mountains. He journeyed, he found this statue, and he gave his loyalty (and many bards say his heart) to the Daedric Prince Azura.
Now, the arrows fly from his quiver like bolts from that Prince's hands, to bring down her foes, and to aid her allies, combined with a fury and righteousness that only an Argonian could ever muster. He traps the souls of her enemies, to receive their just punishment in her beautiful realm, and to aid in his crafting, a touch of bliss, a scent of roses guiding the molding and infusing of her Champion's magics.
He could never be happier.
Praise be to Azura.

Name: Nassisa Hlaalu
Class: Paragon of Boethiah
Major Skills: Heavy Armor, Sneak, Illusion, Archery, Speech
Equipment: Ebony Mail, Boethiah's Silence (Ebony Boots, Muffle) Boethiah's Grip (Ebony Gauntlets, Fortify Archery) Circlet of Tournaments (Fortify Illusion)
Go now, my apostle. Do my bidding! I command you!
Lies. Deceit. Murder. These come naturally to Nassisa Hlaalu. And for that reason, Boethiah herself named her as her Champion.
Equipped in the Ebony mail, Nassisa eliminates any person with influence in Skyrim. Thongvor Silver-Blood. Bryling. Emperor Titus Mede II. All fall under the might of Boethiah.
Nassisa hold Tournaments in the Cities of Skyrim, where the resident battle to the death. She uses powerful illusion magicks to accomplish this feat in the name of Boethiah.
Boethiah has named me as her paragon. I will enforce her will. And I will prevail...

"Without the Hero, there is no Event." - Zurin Arctus, the Underking
Nonsense. A hero is nothing without a legendary weapon, an ancient relic, spells that shapes and warps Time itself! I can give you all of that, my good friend. Just sign here. In blood.
Aruza Raxle, Adherent of Clavicus Vile
Class: 'Merchant Prince' of Clavicus Vile
Major Skills: Speech, Alchemy, Illusion, Lockpicking, Alteration, Sneak
Equipment: Masque of Clavicus Vile, fine clothing, gold emerald ring, gold necklace, fur shoes, poisoned Elven dagger
Aruza gives people what they want, even if they don't know it. Guards always need a few extra coins, no matter what the crime, right? A beggar just wants some food and a warm drink.
Someone wants that lovely gem from the Jarl's neck. A husband wants his cheating wife in a ditch by sunrise with her genitals torn out and tied around her neck. All commodities. For the right price. And Aruza happily accommodates.
Just sign here. In blood.

A never-ending library. The endless reflection of your own depths. Pages fly by, shelves upon shelves, groaning with tomes filled with blank pages and runic scenes that make your mind bleed. A single word echoes within your soul.
Come, my emissary. There is work to be done.
Vanadiel Direnni, Priest of Hermaeus Mora
Class: Priest of Hermaeus Mora
Major Skills: Pickpocket, Lockpicking, Alchemy, Enchanting, Destruction
Equipment: Shroud of All-Sight (Robe enchanted with Resist Magic and Destruction Cost %), Grip of the Knowledge God (Gloves enchanted with Fortify Lockpicking, Fortify Pickpocket), Fur Shoes, Direnni Family Crest (Fortify Health 30 pts.)
To seek that which is lost. The endless knowledge. The Oghma Infinium. A tome containing all knowledge of the world, past, present, and future. Penned in Xarses' own hand. He had seen it. Touched it. Felt the pages that existed, but were nothing. The words, they burned. And he wanted more. So he collected. Every book, every note, every recipe he could get his hands on. A meager home, shelves tilting with useless, and yet all-important, knowledge. Papers covered the floor and small desk, Quills lay scattered, inkpots tossed aside as their contents ran dry.
It wasn't enough.
He needed MORE.
And by Hermaeus, he would get it.
He would find the Oghma Infinium again, and read it until his eyes dissolved under the strain of divine knowledge, his brain turned to dust in his skull, and his lord dragged him to be as a phantom in his realm forevermore.
Or he would die trying.

Name: Qa'Resh the Hunter
Class: Priest of Hircine
Major Skills: Archery, Alchemy, Sneak, Light Armor
Equipment: Saviors Hide, Circlet of the Hunt (Fortify Archery, Fortify Sneak), Boots of Light Feet (Fortify Light Armor, Fortify Carry Weight), Poachers Bow (Frost Damage)
Quick footed and quick minded, Qa'Resh the Hunter is the best hunter around. His arrows are coated in deadly poisons brewed by Qa'Resh in his spare time. Qa'Resh is a member of the Circle, and is a werewolf. He wears the Saviors Hide, a cuirass made for him by his lord, Hircine. He hunts all over Skyrim, from deer in the moors of Whiterun to Horkers in the far north. His bow can take down mammoths and giants with ease. The real prize however lies in Dragons, who have returned to Skyrim and it is up to Qa'Resh to defeat them.

"...He has taken account of every detail of the world and every action every creature ever took, whether mortal or Daedric, well before their time..."
Name: Ignatius Maximus
Class: Priest of Order
Race: Imperial, male
Major Skills: Conjuration, Destruction, Alteration, Illusion
Equipment: Staff of Magnus, Order Priest Robes (enchanted black mage robes), Vokun, Steel plate boots, Steel plate gauntlets
In the ages long since passed there was said to have existed a certain Deadric Prince, iron-fisted, who could potentially rule above all others. They called him Jyggalag, the Deadric Prince of Order. One by one, the other Princes eventually began to grow envious, and fearful of being usurped, they conspired against him in one last ditch effort to maintain their power. Working together, the Deadric Princes banished Jyggalag to live an existence overcome by madness. And so he remained, until the closing of the Third Era when Jyggalag, although weakened, was able to regain control of himself, finally free to roam the voids of Oblivion once more...He was all but forgotten...
Centuries later, in a land teeming with strife and uncertainty, many yearned for the return of peace and order. Ignatius Maximus had always been a man of order. Formerly an Imperial Legionnaire, an injury had forced him into early retirement. Over the years, he grew weary of his compatriots and their submissive demeanor towards the Thalmor invaders; cursing the Aldmeri Dominion, he swore to one day see the Legion rise to it's former glory! But he could not bring about that ambition alone. He would need help... Ignatius had never been much of a worshipper, let alone of the Deadric Princes so scorned in Cyrodiil. But with the Empire crumbling before the onslaught of the Aldmeri Dominion, and no other options, Ignatius turned to the gods. But not just any. He would have to appeal to the one who now remained dangerously forgotten, an outsider just like him... waiting, ever watchful...
Jyggalag, Great Usurper... hear me! The opposition must be crushed...The Empire must rise again...!

"He is the Daedric prince of Orcs, of the sworn oath, and bloody curse"
Gorgandush gro-Bakhra, Priest of Malacath
Skills: Light Armor, Two-Handed, One-Handed, Alchemy, Enchanting, Smithing.
Equipment: Hide of Trinimac (Fur Armor, Fortify Light Armor), Volundrung, Scourge (Daedric Mace, Banish), Dragonscale Boots, Drangonscale Gauntlets
Banished from his stronghold, and looked down upon by the other races, young Gorgandush was an outcast. He seeked guidance with the only person he could speak to that understanded his position. Malacath. Praying to Malacath, he recieved a vision of a stronghold in peril. Largashbur, deep in the forests of the Rift. He journeyed, day and night, until at last he found it. Under attack. By giants. He had only a hunting bow and iron arrows, but his bravery conqured the giants, and all fell by his arrows. Atub, the wise woman and priestess of Malacath, said that they must commune with Malacath, and needed troll fat nd a daedra heart. Gorgandush journeyed to Labyrinthian, and slayed the trolls there. The trimmed their fat until he had what was needed. Then he ventured into Shalidors maze....
Deep in the centre of Shalidor's maze, Gorgandush found what he was looking for. A dremora. It took the last of his arrows and mny of his homemade healing potions, but he conquered the vile demon. He returned to Largashbur.
Atub began the ceremony. "Yamarz", said Malacath, "Yamarz is weak. He allowed giants to take over my shrine. Giants! He must fix this, or it will be time for a new chief".
"You!" sais Yamarz,"you will come with me!" and the two orcs journeyed through the Rift, through Riften and arrived at Malacath's shrine. The giants were no match to the two very strong orc men. But Shargol was two much for Yamarz, and overwhelmed him. Gorgandush finished off the giant, got his warhammer, and returned to the stronghold. There he told the clan that Yamarz had died bravely in battle. And so pleased was Malacath, that he awarded Gorgandush with his artifact, Volundrung, and the title of his Champion. And from that day forth, Gorgandush journeyed around Skyrim, spreading the word of Malacath to orcs and men alike.

Credit goes to myself for Mephala
You, as My champion, will serve Me, sending My light and glory into all of the dark places of Skyrim! Praise be to my name, and the searing dawn you will spread with my blade!

Eleanor Scamper, Champion of Meridia
Class: Unwilling Servant of Meridia
Major Skills: One-Handed, Sneak, Speech, Light Armor, Smithing
Equipment: Dawnbreaker, full Elven armor, Hidey-Hole (Enchanted Ring of Fortify Sneak), That-Which-Shines (Enchanted Necklace of Fortify Speech)
Eleanor Scamper, often called 'Mouse' by her family and friends, and 'Skeever' by those less nice, was terrified of undead. The very thought made her want to dive under her bed and not come out. But what she did like to do was tinker with metal, just like her pa did. Her family wanted shy Eleanor to be noticed for something, and so he spent all of their savings to purchase her bars of refined moonstone, sending her to the Jarl of Falkreath, who was offering a reward to anyone who could make him a fine suit of Elven armor. Mouse went to do just that.
Mouse worked, and worked, and forged the suit! She presented it to Siddgeir, but the Jarl, on seeing her, desired something else from the shy girl, and he had it. She screamed, cried, she did not want this! But Mouse, timid all her life, could not resist.
She fled then, running for months, surviving off scraps, clad in the armor she had forged. She had failed her family. She was hunted by the Jarl, who would not stand being spurned, even after his actions upon her. All she could do was run and hide.
Until she found it. Hidden in a dusty old chest. The Beacon of Meridia, the voice told her. Return it to the shrine, and she would be rewarded. Eleanor had no choice. Meridia's firm voice would not abate.
So she did. The shriek from being lifted above Skyrim finally quit after a moment. Meridia spoke, but all Mouse heard was 'Kilkreath Ruins', 'Malkoran', and 'reward', since she was squirming so much to get down.
So she went in. She saw the bodies. The specters. The ruins filled with her panicked shrieking. UNDEAD! Soon, she learned to be quiet to get past them though, she didn't want to be a snack.
Malkoran died that day, by complete accident. Mouse tripped on a bone, rolled, and quite literally impaled the necromancer on his stolen blade.
Meridia rewarded her, alright. With a shining sword and a mission to go kill all the undead she could find.
No thank you.
But sometimes, when she looks down at the blade, she feels a little better. At least there's a little light in her hidey-hole now.

Name: Malchior Aundae
Race: Altmer Vampire (Lv. 76)
Class: Priest of Molag Bal
Major Skills: Illusion, One-Handed, Heavy Armor, Enchantment, Conjuration
Equipment: Mace of Molag Bal, full Daedric armor, the Black Star, numerous Black Soul Gems, fortify gear, Ring of Domination (Fortify Illusion, Increase Magicka Regen)
With the gift of Molag's mace, a spell of Soul Trap confines those souls of who he crushes to Coldharbour, where his lord allows him to draw them henceforth through the medium of 'soul gems' to enchant and power his weapons and dark, daedra-bound armor.
Drowning hapless mortals in the will of Molag Bal, even gentle townsfolk succumb to murderous urges and are quickly slain by their fellows. To those who would resist, he reserves a special punishment: domination by Pacify, quelling their thoughts until they stand as though a mere puppet, then crushing their forms. But lo, death is not good enough, forcing their corpses to become his Dead Thralls in eternal slavery to the grand glory that is his vicious, soul-corrupting Daedra patron.
You WILL bend your knee and give your soul to Molag Bal.
Or you will be crushed and broken until you shriek your submission to him.

Festus Caro, Priest of Namira
Class: Cannibal, Priest of Namira
Major Skills: Enchanting, Alchemy, Illusion, Destruction, Sneak
Equipment: Black Robes enchanted with Fortify Magicka and Fortify Sneak, Ring of Namira, Boots enchanted with Resist Magicka and Muffle.
Festus lives in Reachcliff Cave with Eola and the coven of Namira. Each day he goes out into the world and hires Mercanaries or does quests to get new followers. He hunts down the tastiest looking one and recruits them, brings them back to the Shrine of Namira, and feasts on them. Festus is physically repulsive, with a massive nose and blind eyes with dirt and scars covering his face. For this he wears a closed face helmet when recruiting. His appetite and repulsiveness attracted the Daedric Prince Namira, who named him her Champion. He always donates to beggars, for they are favored by Namira.

You will not find me. Not now, not ever...
Let the Thieves Guild think what they want. Ki'ra was favored over all others. His mistress blessed him with the touch of the Skeleton Key, BEFORE it was stolen. She gave him the gift of anonymity, making him a phantom to all who would find him. And then, her true favor, given to none other, the power to summon Daedra from her realm.
Yes, let the Thieves think what they will.
Ki'ra would slip in, take everything from them, and be gone before anyone was the wiser.
No matter what those damn Nightingales told him.

A deadly illness is only diagnosed when it's too late...
Name: Byoki Tilbeder
Class: Priest of Peryite
Major Skills: Heavy Armor, Sneak, One-Handed, Two-Handed, Block

Under Peryite's protection, I shall prevail
Like a cancer, Broki Tilbeder is only found after its too late. Armoured in Heavy Armor, and still keeps to the shadows, he infects his enemies before they even know it. Wielding his gift from his lord Peryite, Spellbreaker, and Virus, his Daedric Mace, Peryite's apostle is often fatal, and incurable. Symptoms include extreme pain, bones breaking, cuts all over the body, paralysis, fear and a blow sending victims strait to the Taskmaster.

Following the Golden Road...
Name: Namdam Meinul
Class: Priest of Sheogorath
Race: Redguard Female
Major Skills: Speech, Illusion, One-Handed, Enchanting
Equipment: Wabbajack, Stabby Boy (Daedric Sword, Fire Damage, Frost Damage) Shroud of Cheese (Robe, Fortify Health, Fortify Illusion), Happy Feet (Fine Boots, Fortify Carry Weight, Magic Resistance).
Namdam Meinul is not crazy. Or perhaps she is. All she knows is she is a Priest of Sheogorath, and she likes it that way. Or does she? She knows the secrets of the universe, and knows them she doesn't. Her knowledge surpasses old Hermy's by a mile, but it falls short. She lives in a palace, or perhaps a hole. A hole made by a mole. And a mole made by a shoal. Of coal. A shoal of coal. She can drive people insane! Calm them, or make them skip rope with their own entrails! Ha! Old Stabby Boy can shred those mortals who dare stop her! She is powerful, and oh boy is she weak. Her mind is in a glorious state, and her body not do much. But a few sessions on the Cheese Grater should sort that out!

Good night my child. Sleep well...
Name: Elberond Malson
Class: Advocate of Vaermina
Skills: Illusion, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Restoration, Alteration, Smithing
Equipment: Cloak of Midnight (Vaermina Robes, Fortify Illusion) Hands of Quagmire (Daedric Gauntlets, Fortify Heavy Armour) Daedric Boots, Silver Garnet Ring, Silver Necklace, Jade and Sapphire Circlet, Skull of Corruption
From a young age, Elberand Malson suffered from night terrors and bad dreams. Visions of his family dying, dragons, Frostbite Spiders and worse sent him screaming in the night. He was fascinated by it all. How people could imagine something so terrifying at their own will. But then he learnt of Vaermina, and that she caused the nightmares by stealing peoples memories. But why? Elberond was determined to find out.
His search led him to the city of Dawnstar in Skyrim, where everybody was having the same nightmare over and over. He met a priest of Mara, Erandur, who took him to Vaeeminas temple, Nightcaller Temple. There they took out many monks of Vaermina and Orcish invaders. When they reached the antechamber, Vaermina spoke to Elberond. "Kill him" she commanded,"and claim my skull for your own". And from that day on, Elberond Malson struck fear into the hearts of the people. Nobody knew where he was, but if you've had a Terrible nightmare, you can be sure he's been.

This thread is finally up and running. thanks to everyone for their support. Were still waiting on Sanguine, Malacath, Nocturnal and Mehrunes. These, however, have been reserved for certain creators, except for Mehrunes. Im waiting on psiberzerker. Thanks again for everyones support.

I'm nowhere near creative enough to make one, great work SimDalmatian and Venomenia that Sheogorath one is hilarious.
This is what you use to sign-off your messages. The forums will tack this onto messages at your request.
Jun 16, 12 at 1:13pm ^re: How to Roleplay: A Daedric Priest
Thanks! Venomania was a great help too.
Jun 16, 12 at 1:15pm ^re: How to Roleplay: A Daedric Priest
Half of these make no sense. Honestly, it's like you're saying "Here, this is the build for it. The only one. Anything you do doesnt count."
I mean, honestly those little phrases aren't as awesome as you think they are. Half of them don't even match what they'd say.
And a third thing, does this really deserve its own thread? You asked for Ideas in the other one, and an idea (singular) was posted for each one in that thread. You just took posts from the last one and made them into one post.
Jun 16, 12 at 1:27pm ^re: How to Roleplay: A Daedric Priest
That was the idea in the first place. And I'm not restraining anybody from changing them. Im actually encouraging it. And they all make sense. These are suggestions to anybody who wants to make a Daedric priest and dosent know how to do it.

Filled in Malacath. Three more to go! I will do Sanguine tomorrow. The deadline for Dagon is June 20. If nobody posts an approptiate build before then, I will have Venomania or myself do it. And remember, do not post it in this thread. The thread is entitled: Interesting Character Idea (Daedra Worship!) and can also be found on the Skyrim forum.

Sorry about the beginning of Vaermina. I was experimenting with th photo editing on photo bucket. Will fix soon.
Sanguine is coming next. Should be up in half an hour or so. after I fix some errors in the original post.

quote ResilienceI feel like it might have been more appropriate to simply edit the first post in the ideas thread with these rather than make a new thread just to showcase them, but hey, I'm a newbie here, what do I know.
I'm unsure what the purpose of this thread is, if new build suggestions can't be posted here. It seems like in a how-to thread there should be more than just a suggested or example character bio, perhaps something along the lines of "In (situation x) a priest of (daedric prince y) would likely do (action z)." Just throwing in my two cents, don't mean to ruffle any feathers.
Jun 18, 12 at 7:27am ^re: How to Roleplay: A Daedric Priest
Thsi si more of an index. a new thread makes more sense because, well, its new, so all posts after the first relate to the first. If i had done as you suggested and put them on the first page, then people who did not know the history of the thread woul get confused as the answers below the first post would relate to the original post, not the edited one. understand?
