Think yourself very lucky you only have to wait 13 days.

I'm gonna do both on one playthrough, with seperate saves. So i'm gonna save before i go in, join the Dawnguard and finish the DLC. Then i'm gonna load up the game, and join the Vampires, since thats what i'll be joining permanently.

As for preparation, i'm getting all my skills to 100 before it comes out.

Another reason Im hoping they retail disc it. I know there are some who dont have live let alone internet.

Well it might mean that you get given a crossbow straightaway by Dawnguard whereas if you join the vamps then you might have to wait untill you face off against them and can retreive their weapons. As for mounted combat i think that will be available once you download it as pc players already have it.

I was wondering this, though i dont think any official word has been given.

Though in the E3 Gameplay trailer for Dawnguard, at one point they have a Crossbow on their back, then turn into the Vampire Lord. That suggests that either you can have both, or they used Console Commands.


I know it's evil, but i would laugh my ass off if you could only have one or the other. There you go 360, the price for getting the DLC early is only having Vampirism or a Crossbow on a single game save. PS3 players would really have it bad. Whereas PC players can use Console Commands to get them, which i definitely will if i need to.


Though like i said, that vid shows him having the Vampire Lord Power and a Crossbow at the same time, so i get the feeling that they wouldn't make you choose.



Although it was developed by Obsidian, New Vegas made you choose between having the Alien Blaster or YCS-166 Guass Rifle, you couldn't own both on one save. But like i said, that was Obsidian.
