The game is being developed by ZeniMax Studios, but apparently Bethesda is helping with it. I really hope it's great, I can't wait already!

So several questions are raised at this moment in time:

1) Payment...there are many models out there these days, whether it be a combination or not.

• Subscription/monthly fee
  • WoW is the giant of this one, has had many years of success with and still do but the industry is changing and so are the times and society
• One time payment
  • Guild Wars uses this and has shown it to be successful, it has held out against WoW and is coming back with a sequel to show it has paid off.
• Free to Play/Microtransactions
  • The newly adopted method that long MMOs like Everquest, Age of Conan etc. are turning to

Personally I would see ESO using one of the first two but you never know if they might try F2P

2) Voiced or not voiced

• Star Wars: The Old Republic is fully voiced but it is the only one of its kind (to my knowledge) it will be interesting to see how this one turns out as since Morrowind (can't recall voice actors in Arena and Daggerfall but could be wrong) there have been voice actors. In Morrowind they were just simple mutterings as the player passed by but who knows

3) PvP versus PvE

• With Elder Scrolls as it is, I hope it leans more to the PvE side and certainly allows co-op or guild missions...thinking of Vindictus in this case but it will be interesting to see how Zenimax Online work on the PvP and how that affects the world (As in guards etc.)

Just some things to mull over and discuss as we wait for more info

I propose that we of the Skyrim forum make a guild and kill ALL the noobs raid stuff etc.

I doubt you're in the minority there. I've seen many with that kind of opinion regarding an online TES. I get that. I also get why people love online games & why the idea of a great game going online sounds fantastic. There is some cool stuff going on there. Playing in a world full of other players instead of NPCs. Of course that has its pros & cons. Playing with other people can be great fun, but it can also suck. Also some of the stuff you love about the offline games may not transfer well to an online version.
