The Elder Scroll? [main quest spoilers]

So, I defeated Alduin in Sovngarde a fair while ago... and it wasn't until recently that I realised I still had that Elder Scroll that's necessary for the story. I also realised that it's awfully baggy, having a weight value of 20. What's worse is that I can't store it or anything because the game keeps telling me it's a 'quest item'.

So... what do I do with it? Please don't tell me we're all doomed to play the rest of the game with this surprisingly heavy burden? Is it necessary for a later quest? I've tried googling an answer, but of course, google thinks I'm talking about the title of the game, and not the item itself. I bet it's just something small that I've so conveniently missed, lol.

I just wanna get rid of it, haha! I have so many quest items that I've picked up and can't store away... despite not even having discovered the actual quests for said items.

Also, anything marked as a quest item weighs nothing. It might say that it weighs 25 units (which I think are based on bottles of beer) but it doesn't.
