I really dislike Thalmor too. Everytime I see one, BACKSTAB. lol

I had been thinking that the rise of the Thalmor was the perfect opportunity for Bethesda to break into multiplayer gaming.

Let me be clear NOT as a tack on to Skyrim (they have stated many times they won't do that) but built from the ground as a battle arena style full on war game.

Can you imagine picking your favorite race and class and fighting in a full on war through the streets of the imperial city?

It could be epic.

it really is getting interesting, the whole Aldmeri dominion thing. Whats got me thinking atm though, is how they are going to continue the Story, with the civil war going on..... because there are TWO distinct options, that the player can take, and as such, that could mean that bethesda will just leave the conclusion of the skyrim civil war as a grey area, or skyrim as a whole will have a cataclysmic event, that will near-ruin the area. and make it irrelevant.

all of the other games (not so sure about redguard) didn't have such conflicting plot-sections, as they were largely independent.

so thats one option, or they'll have the stormcloaks win, and that could be VERY interesting, leaving either, the Nords succeeding from the Empire, allot like hammerfell, in a move to get out from under the weak emperor's thumb, or they might "take back" thier empire, as they see it, and try and instill nord rule of the empire again, and crush the thalmor.

I get into the lore of TES allot >.>

and... Thalmor excecution orders start after a point in the main quest (no idea wich), Dark brotherhood from the start of the game (no trigger, just happens, worked this out when I ran into one on the way from riverwood to bleak falls, hadn't done anything, or stolen anything.)

also note if you read TES books in game of skyrim note that it states the thalmor toook credit for saving us all from the oblivion gates and chucked martin and us to the wind and took all credit saying they used some big spell to stop it

When you do Diplomatic Immunity as a High Elf wearing Hooded Thalmor Robes, you can strut around the embassy and everybody will treat you like a member of the Thalmor. But from then the roleplaying possibilities seem to dwindle.

I like the Thalmor for their sheer badassery. They nearly destroy the Empire and then make themselves at home. You at least have to appreciate that.
