PS3 Version Broken?

Hello all,

I am really enjoying this game. However there is a disturbing article on ign.com that the PS3 version is "broken".

Has anyone with huge saved-game files had any issues with extreme lag and crashing?

I havnt yet...*fingers crossed*

i havent had any major problems only thing that happenes is after i play for like 5+ hours strait it freezes but i dont mind cause it kinda forces me to do something else

oh good to hear. I am at level 30 and my save-game file is at 7000mb. No issues yet besides the odd bit of lag and the occasional crash (it's happened a few times).

The article on IGN says the game is "unplayable". Seems a bit dramatic!!

People who have not had lag are lucky or have barely played the game. It is very broken. I have a PS3 with a ton of room left on my harddrive and I lag horribly. In cities or in the world screen I lag after playing for more than an hour. I am just over 13MB almost to level 60. Rest assured it is very broken one you break 11mb. I think it also depends on what you do. I notice that if I start my PS3 and only visit places I've already explored it takes longer to lag. If I am doing new quests and constantly exploring new places it lags around the 1hr mark.

So yes it is very broken if you play the game past level 50.

wait 30 in game days, this apparantly resets all the non essential crap that gets stored, and reduces save game files considerably! slightly annoying but if it works its less annoying than the lag!

Umm shaunybaby its the latter.

I'm on level 37 and I've had some terrible expierence with lag.

After playing for more than an hour or so it will at random intervals have gamebreaking lag.

And I mean so bad like you know in Oblivion when you tried to duplicate something like 2000 times? Yeah, that bad.

I'm lagging horribly I have more then 200 hours on game play on my main character and with over a 18MB save and the v1.2 patch really did not do anything for me at all it just made it worse with backwards flying dragons and my resistance to frost is gone so I can die very quickly from frost!
I hope they fix all this soon or I think I'll be selling my Skyrim because whats the point to play if my game just freezes every hour and I have to turn off my system and reboot to play again.

My ps3 has almost all the room on the hard drive that it came with, and I still experience a lot of lag and it freezes on me constantly. I have a lvl 38 character and its done so since the beginning, whether I'm playing for hours or just seconds.

I have a lot of patience though (mostly thanks to my 1 year old) so it doesn't bother me overmuch.
The game also has a lot of quest glitches, though I personally have only experienced one, on the blood on the ice quest. But its a new game, so give it time, it'll all be fixed soon (hopefully).
