	Log in to remove this sponsored message This is a character concept I've been throwing around for a while now, and I wanted to put it here so I could get feedback on it. Possibly refine the rough concept into something more workable before I actually start the character. Race: High Elf. High Elves not only start with +10 to Illusion (putting me halfway to the Quiet Casting perk), they also start with the spell Fury. The Frenzy effect is the core of this build; going High Elf allows me to get going right out of the gate. The extra Magicka is also nice, of course. Attributes: 2-1 split between Magicka and Health. I get all the benefits of a high Magicka, but end up slightly tougher than your average Mage. Important Perks Illusion - Animage, Kindred Mage, Quiet Casting, Master of the Mind, Rage, Hypnotic Gaze Alteration - Mage Armor, Stability Sneak - Assassin's Blade Playstyle: The idea is to stay in the shadows and use Frenzy spells on enemies to get them to attack each other. Once they're down to one enemy (or if there's only one enemy in the first place), I sneak up on them and use a Dagger to get a Sneak Attack Crit on them, hopefully resulting in an instant kill. I'll be using Alteration for defense because clothes shouldn't have any penalty to sneaking. However, if I end up having to do a face-to-face fight, I want to have some sort of defense. It's also worth noting that this character will be a Vampire. Vampires are 25% harder to detect, and their Illusion spells are 25% more powerful. The stealth bonus is basically a free rank in the Sneak tree's Stealth perk, and Illusion boost allows me to use my spells on higher-level enemies for the same mana cost, allowing me to get more use out of my spells. Does this seem viable? What improvements could be made? -------------------

	I was thinking more of a Pacafist based illusion character, trying your hardest not to kill anyone unless absolutely necessary. So using fury on bosses with minions, conjuration on solo bosses, so none of the fighting is actually done yourself. I think it may be possible, though extremely hard.

Would you still be able to FUS RO DAH your enemies? As long as it doesnt kill them. Good point, probably shouldn't get it to level 3 though because it can do some real damage. Dragon shouts will be absolutely necessary: Whirlwind Sprint, Animal Allegiance, Become Ethereal, Throw Voice, Disarm, Call Dragon, Kyne's Peace, & Dismay. Amulet of Talos will be your friend! Its extremely viable, Ive done it. The only difference is that with mine I would finish off the victor of the free for alls with a conjured bow strike from stealth. The cool thing is that frenzy works as an AOE projectile, albeit a very small one, so a direct hit is not needed. Hitting the ground in a group of enemies will afflict them all with frenzy, resulting in mass chaos. I tried this out after Id already hit master, so Im not sure how many times it will be resisted by the enemies when used by an up and coming illusionist. Its worth mentioning that I wasnt a vampire at the time, so that boost to illusion power should help a great deal. Groups of bandits and necromancers were who I would hit most with this, as many times in a dungeon you can happen upon a group of them sitting and eating, or standing around talking. Sometimes just for kicks Id conjure in a Dremora Lord to join the fray with his flaming sword strikes. Its pretty a pretty empowering feeling to be able to clear an entire dungeon while only firing a few arrows. Often times I would cast muffle/invisbility and just bypass the chaos once it started and loot my spoils when I came back through. ------------------- Profile retired as of 7/28/2012.

However, I think I'll go with the actual bows, simply because you can push the damage higher (Bound weapons can't be improved at a grindstone, enchanted, and I'm pretty sure they can't be poisoned, so their damage falls behind even in the early game). quote crimson heretic awesome class haha i wont steal obviously u put heaps of effort in Not really. I had the basic idea (Stealth + Illusion) the moment I saw the bonuses for being a Vampire. I only fleshed it out once I actually created this thread. -------------------

True though the Dremora Lords are extremely OP on adept difficulty. I summoned 2 and together they took down a dragon, as well as some of the Draugh (spelling?) bosses. Once I had this conjuration spell I had to turn up the difficulty because it became to easy.

	A question about this build - how would you deal with one-on-one foes like dragons and end-of-dungeon baddies? you can't really sneak kill these and until you're level 100 on illusion I doubt you'd be able to confuse a dragon or say a dwarven war machine? Also how do you intend on collecting souls for soul gems - or would you resort to buying them?

I'm a little squishier than even Light Armor users, though, so it has to be a physical bow so I can Smith, Enchant, and Poison it. That pushes the damage up as high as I can get it. I'll have some Fortify Archery-enchanted equipment (no glitch) to further swing things in my favor. As for Soul Gems, I just buy them. Not like I'm using my money for anything else, after all. -------------------
