Is anybody else bored of Skyrim? :(

I can still remember the first time I picked up the box of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and inserted the disc into my xbox original - entering for the first time a fully open world game. It was a dizzying sense of freedom that I had not experienced previously and I instantly fell in love with everything about it. Needless to say I devoted hours of my young life to that game.

Then came Oblivion. I bought it purely on the grounds that it succeeded my favourite game of all time and, once again, I found myself in love with a game that offered me unlimited choices and hundreds of quests. Despite the bad things about the game (the bugs, the faces, etc.) I was still happy to devote years of my life to that game as well, loving and cherishing my time in Cyrodiil.

Then came Skyrim. On 11/11/11 I ran home to open the box of the latest Elder Scrolls game and installed it on my PC. I spent the whole night on it. (Almost) everything that had been wrong with the previous games had been fixed; there were freakin' dragons, too! I enjoyed everything about it and for a week or so I have been playing solidly - every waking moment that I am at home I have been on Skyrim. Perhaps this is why I am now finding myself bored? I have not completed any of the guilds, the main quest, or the civil war. I have done as many miscellaneous quests as possible, as I am more interested in just enjoying the game, but now I find myself bored; without the will power to even play a solid hour now.

Perhaps I have merely 'overdosed' on Skyrim, and - given a few days off - will re-discover a love for it. But somehow; despite superior graphics and an updated engine - I just don't feel involved with the game. I don't feel important within it, like I did in Oblivion. Hell, I'm even wondering whether it was everything wrong with Skyrim's predecessor that made it so lovable.

Oh, and another thing! The 'random' dragon encounters; I do not think that every time you enter or leave a town and a dragon shows up should constitute 'random'. They're becoming a massive labour and, frankly, *bleep*ing annoying. Similarly; I'm aware that the province is supposed to snowy but I'm so fed up of the screen just being grey everywhere you go...

I apologise for my long ramble, but I feel disappointed and just wanted to express that fully so that I could ask if others are feeling the same, at all?

This game is amazing and I doubt I'll get bored of it for a while.

I was a bit disappointed with the Mages Guild in this game (not the actual quests but the quantity of them), and when I finished I felt like I was done with the game. >~< I'm clearly not used to the amount of things available in TES games, as this is my first. I realized that I still have shit ton more to do.

My message is that I took a day off, replayed doing something different and was hooked back into the game. Once your character is done? Create a new one! I'm trying not to do every guild because I'd like to recreate a new character under different oppurtunities. I don't know how you're already bored. Possibly tired, but not bored.

Same here, but I feel like the game's over now that the only magic route in the game is over. ^^ I'm a bit too attached to Magic, and I'm depressed that it's over, haha. Everyone else in the game seems to hate me, now.

I'm not a "little ADHD kid", and it's not really appropriate to make that sort of comparison; besides if I've pumped 56 hours into this game, then that's not really accurate, anyway.

To be fair, I exaggerated; I am about halfway through the main quest.

I found Blackreach tedious as it was far too big to be sensible for a quest - it was several hours gameplay minimum and was frustrating if I only had a small amount of time to play. Furthermore, Alduin was a joke! you spend hours in this *bleep*ing dungeon to get an elder scroll to get a shout to kill Alduin and THEN you don't even get to kill him; he buggers off again.

But I do acknowledge your point; maybe If I do some more guild work I'll enjoy myself a bit more.

Lmao I found Blackreach on my own and literally spent hours in there looking at the nice colours, collecting soul gems and crimson nirnroot, killing falmer and centurions, looting, levelling up and just exploring.

I'm not "bored," per se, but I find myself extremely disappointed when I die after tens of minutes exploring without auto or manual saving.

Personally, I dislike how Skyrim feels so much more like Fallout 3 than Oblivion (to me). I hate the trial and error approach to lockpicking, I hate how I can't climb mountains (without a horse? Shadowmere ftw, but why can horses climb 80* angles?), and I wish that Alchemy couldn't fail. Getting 100 Alch in Oblivion was as simple as collecting ingredients for a long-ass time, and then make hundreds upon hundreds of potions by spamming the "create" button. Despite not being able to spam leveling for alchemy, I like how many of the other skills level.

I love Oblivion to death, but I just can't go back to it anymore. I've committed myself to this TES, and I can only hope that the eventual DLC can satisfy me, or that TES:VI on the Xbox720 comes out soon.

Your bored just doing misc quests? Well start doing main quest or some normal quests.

Got to say, I am a bit bored but I think its because Ive 'overdosed' on skyrim over the last few days.
