Mage gear upgrades (Morokei mask, boots, gauntlets)

I just completed the Winterhold College quests and got the Archmage robe, which is very nice, and the Morokei Mask, which is very good as well, but ugly and it negates the Alteration perk 'Mage Armor'. Are there any other head slot items that I can obtain at level 14 that are equally good or even better?

Also, is there any shop that sells boots and gauntlets tailored for mages? Right now I'm wearing iron boots and gauntlets, haven't seen any specific mage stuff for those slots yet.

It counts as armor and for the perk to work, you can't be wearing any armor.

I haven't noticed any Mage tailored gauntlets or boots, either. I think I have iron for both, too, so I enchanted magicka+ onto my gauntlets. I'm pretty sure just enchanting it yourself will be the hastiest way of acquiring it.

Morkei is frikkin' amazing. I love it. When I need armor boost I stoneflesh myself (don't have ebony) and the mask regen's quick enough to not need so much defense. Given, Mage armor (though I'm not there yet) can come in handy, I think the mask is equally as important. It's not hard to remove the mask if you want to Mage armor yourself, anyway? Put on some adept hoods or something and it'll alleviate the loss in regen a tad.

What I Have Found If you Complete The Winterhold Quests When you get the archmages room key there are soom plain boots that increases shock
resitance by 40% and If you put the morokei mask on and the archmages robes on your face is invisible

There are, after you complete the College of Winterhold questline, a pair of boots, which give you 40% resistance to Shock, Frost, and Fire damage. These work well for me. And for the gauntlets, I use fur ones with some decent enchantments.

You just have to find random boots or other pieces of clothing which don't count as armor and enchant them yourself. As said by swk, there hardly are any enchanted non-armor items.
